You gotta Love Giant Eagle and their advertising.
I was just looking at their online ad, and did anyone else notice the cereal? They have it advertised for 2/$10 BUT you get $5 off instantly! Who in their right mind would have paid $5 for a box of cereal! lol

I have a question that is really from last week - But I wait till Tue/Wed to shop so I can get the rainchecks - and thought people might see it quicker here as I need to shop tonight ....

"Betty Crocker pouch potatoes are on EPR through 12/24 for 4/$3. The .35 q from 11/16 or 12/14 SS makes them .05. Also, they had q's taped on keebler crackers and zesta's on an endcap. The zestas are 5/10 and there was a .50 or .55 q on them, so $1. Hope that helps someone!"
What is an EPR? I've looked everywhere for the answer.

No issue at all with the ERP - now that I know what it all makes sense.
I wanted to thank you all so much for all of the "inside info" on the sales. I'm new to this, and it is absolutely wonderful the help you all give.
In fact, yesterday I could help but giggle in line. my bill came to $2.67. I bought:
1 waffle
4 excedrine
2 cinnamon roll packages
11 Betty Crocker bagged potatoes
1 toothpaste.
It was AWSOME!!!!

Can sour cream be frozen?:shrug7:
Can you freeze sour cream? (http://www.ochef.com/656.htm)
Sour cream breaks down and separates when frozen and thawed.
Are you telling me that you have freezer room?

I know none of us would pay like that, but have you got a look at these boxes yet, it's like Lucky Charms on steroids! They are big big boxes.
With coupons and cheweez, I paid $1 for two boxes.

WOW! I din't notice that the box sizes were huge. I am now looking at the ad and it says 25.25 oz Honey Nut Cheerios, 24.9 oz Cinnamon Toast Crunch, or 24 oz Lucky Charms.
I think I'll be adding these to my list now. Thanks and reps!

I was at the store Wed night @ 11 and there were really long lines. The woman behind me had 2 boxes of cereal in her cart with milk. She was complaining about having to wait so long in line so I told her it would be better if she bought the cereal the next day because she'd save $5. That was enough to get her to run to GetGo to get her milk LOL

Betty Crocker's website has coupons for .40 off the pouch potatoes, so they'll be free.

I just got back from Giant Eagle. Got the pouch potatoes free - thanks!
Also, the toy section was all marked 50% off. I had already bought a set of those perler beads last week for $10. I bought one today for $5 - so I'll be returning the $10 one on my next trip. It is a nice set - the templates have the pictures on them as backgrounds - making it easier than following the paper patterns :)

Can sour cream be frozen?:shrug7:When Giant Eagle had Pillsbury cookie dough (in the dairy case) on sale, I called Pillsbury to ask them if I could freeze the dough.
Their recorded response (must be a very popular question to have a recorded response) is ...
Since it contains dairy products, it is not recommended that you attempt to freeze it.
+
So, since sour cream is also a dairy product, I would not attempting to freeze it!

I scored big time at GE on Xmas Eve - they were marking down all of the meat that had sell by dates of 12/25 and 12/26 - got a roast, 4 pkgs of pork cutlets, 3 of chicken cutlets, italian sausage, chuck roast, 2 pkgs of ground beef. The guy marking the meat down was pushing the rib roasts but, even after marking down, they were still almost $35-$40 each so I passed on them LOL
