Hello! This is posted under safeway, but I thought I'd post it here for Randalls specifically in Houston as well-- it was in today's paper. They are having a Mix and Match on Five items and get $5 off.

The items include (all prices are after the -5 off):

Kellogs cereal Rice Krispie and Froot Loop varieties - $1.49
Welch's Grape Juice - $1.99
Jif Peanut Butter - $1.50
Aunt Jemima Syrup - $1.99
Mission Tortillas - $1.69
Maxwell House or Yban or Seattle's Best Coffee - $5.99
Ocean Spray Cranberry Cocktail Drink - $2.99
Owens Sausage Rolls - $2.00
Gener Mills Honey Nut Cherrious or Cinnamon Toast Crunch - $1.99
Juicy Juice - $1.50

Off the top of my head-- I know there are coupons for the Kellogs for $1 off... making the cereal .50

Jif Peanut Butter has a coupon for .35 off making for .45c peanut butter

Owens has a .35 coupon making for .95 sausage rolls

And Juicy Juice has a coupon for $1 off Harvest select variety... I haven't been yet to see if this is in the sale, but if it is.. .50 juice.

Hope this helps someone!

Ok this is weird. I went today and got the juicy juice and the Kiwi Strawberry rang up taxable but the Berry flavor did not.
So I paid $2.75 for 5 Juicy Juice or .55 each

Explains why mine was out of Rice Krispies but had everything else probably. Thanks for posting.

If you look in the Safeway thread, you'll see that there are many more items on sale than listed in the Randall's circular. Has anyone tried buying something not shown in the ad to see if it rings up for the Buy 5/Save $5 promo? There are a number of cereals, for example, not shown in the ad.

Anyone?

I saw that too but was too chicken to try it! With these promos at our stores only working sometimes you have to be able to prove you are right with the ad or they won't do anything to correct it!

There were cereals marked on the shelves at my store as being part of the sale but had not been in the ad. They included Total.

ok, I went to try it out. Figured I'd saved enough money on my purchases this morning, so I took the Safeway list to Randalls and looked at the shelves. Sure enough, some of the items were marked as being part of the 5/$5 deal. In the cereal aisle, they weren't marked at all however. I got 4 different boxes of Mini Wheats--same size, just different flavors. They all rang up just fine as part of the deal.

I stopped by the front desk and the young man showed me the list and it looked even longer than the Safeway one. He admitted that there were probably other things not shown in the ad. I told him next time I'd be looking at the list BEFORE I do my shopping. He said no problem. :)

Which flavor Mini-Wheats did you buy? I would definitely be interested in those!

I did the Juicy Juice today with the $1/1 but the only flavors in my store were Strawberry Kiwi and Punch! That was disappointing!

But I guess I should not complain about $0.50/bottle!

I did also grab some Betty Crocker Muffin Mix that was on sale for $1. Used the $0.45/1 printable to get it for $0.10. If you haven't tried it, I made this muffin mix the other weekend for a Saturday morning breakfast and my boys loved it!

I bought Bite Size, Cinnamon Swirl, Strawberry and Blueberry. They matched the UPC codes in the Safeway list.

I did the Juicy Juice as well and noticed something very interesting. Maybe one of you genuises know the answer? For some reason, no tax is charged on the Berry or Punch flavors, but I am charged $.12 tax on the Strawberry/Kiwi flavor. Any ideas? I'm perplexed.

Just got back from a big shopping trip. Luckily Randalls is pretty close. :)

I tried doing the Jiffy Blueberry muffin mix. It was on sale 2 for $1, so I bought 5 to see if it was part of the 5 for $5 deal. Nope, it wasn't.

I also tried to do the Betty Crocker Muffin mix. On sale 10/$10. I had a coupon for $.45 off. But that was off the BOXED version and the muffin mix on sale was in some bag. It might have worked, but I didn't feel good about trying that--especially since I walked out with 14 boxes of cereal!

Oh, I also got two things of Crisco spray and they were part of the deal as well. Using a $.45 cpn which doubled. Original price was $2.79. After deal and coupon it was $0.89.
