I have never set in foot in a Food 4 Less store here in SoCal (it is out of my way). So... I am interested in getting individual overall opinions of this store and what you gals/guys possibly like/dislike about it.? Bargains, current coupon policy, etc. If anyone here shops the Vista location, what do you think of that store in particular? TIA for any and all feedback.

Hi Ocean:
my opinion:
good list:
near other stores i shop at
produce is great when on sale.
when they have a sale on things you need they have them in stock.
I have found great coupons there.
coupon friendly
bad list:
always busy, not enough cashiers
dont double coupons
ppl. that stand at the door when you exit trying to get $$ from you.:rolleyes24:

That's not good. I contribute every so often, but after awhile, it gets very annoying seeing them day after day asking for $$.

I guess I should probably go and check them out, but like I mentioned, they are out of the way and I am worried that I will be disappointed. Worse, I am worried that the closest one to me is in a seedy area and thus will cause me to just say forget it altogether and just drive by. :shrug7:

Well I made it to Food4Less today and it was better than I expected. For some reason I had this store mixed up with another store that I have driven by in the past, and so I confused the two apparently. :duh77:

Anyway, unless I just got lucky and came at the right time, the store seemed slow, quiet and pleasant. A nice surprise.

Food-wise, I was impressed by some of the regularly low prices and think that I will come back to this store again when I am in/near the area. For today, I got the following:

(1) Aluminum Rack Roaster (for my turkey) $1.28
(2) Farmer John Bacon $1.98 - 2 x $.75/1 blinkies
(1) Glade Aerosol $.98 - $.75/1
(1) Herbal Essences Shampoo $2.50 - $3/2
(1) Herbal Essences Conditioner $2.50
(1) Turkey 19.75lbs

Since I met the $10 minimum purchase to get in on the turkey deal (the real reason I went there), I got my turkey for $6 ($.30/lb) and my final OOP after coupons and the turkey discount, was $12.57. Can we say Woohoooo!!! I am happy! Now to figure out if I still want to get my 2nd turkey there also, or just go to Ralphs. Hmmm... so many choices. :wink7:

Thanks! I found the blinkies at Albertsons about a month ago and grabbed a few just in case I ran into a deal like this. I had forgotten they were in my box because I was actually looking to see if I had any sausage link/roll coupons. Bacon coupons are just as good and the kids will be having that for breakfast tomorrow.

OMG! I have a food 4less in my area, I was not aware they took coupons! For some odd reason I thought they were a no coupon store. I'm glad I read this thread.
