Sometime back I saw a post that wife swap was looking for a family to use on the show and hoping that HCW could help find someone. Did that ever come about? Has the show aired? Is there a link to watch? Just wondering!

This one was sad. The woman who did the couponing let it take over her life. She had a shower stall full of toilet paper. Her family couldn't even use that bathroom. They also had stuff everywhere. When she went to the other woman's house, she tried to tell the dad that it was cheaper to use paper plates all the time than it was to have real dishes. She even cut them into 6 pieces to use just a little bit. The husband was flabbergasted with her. She also had no discipline. Her kids were doing whatever they wanted. Sad.

Yep this one did not show couponers in a good light.

Now, now - this seems kinda harsh to me....who hasn't thought about where they might find a little extra storage space for their stockpile? :giggle2:

Come on - the shower is an excellent idea:hysterical: if you do not want to bathe! :whistle67:

I am kidding - if you couldn't tell.

I am sorta jealous though I am always limited as to what I buy due to space issues - now if my DH just would overlook me filling his office with razors and TP!

When someone said storing things in the shower, it made me think of the ebay lady. I want a big stockpile, but I don't want every inch of my house taken over with stuff!

I've had this on my calendar for a while. I'm excited to watch it...although they are always so...overplayed.

My step-daughter's Mother was on Trading Spouses a couple years ago...and they portrayed her soooo badly. She is a clean fanatic and they showed her vaccuming all of the time...even early in the AM before her cab came to take her to the airport!!

That poor lady. Hording is a serious mental illness. I "stumbled" into a "friendship" with a lady who suffered with this. She stuffed a three bedroom house, a two car garage and THREE 12 x 20 storage units to the rafters with crap she horded! It was unlike anything I have ever seen. Her landlord evicted her and I helped her pack some of her belongings. Thing was, it was all already packed. But, because some of it belonged to her mother who had passed away only a few months before, she wanted to sort through it. Among the beauties I found were two 30-gallon Rubbermaid totes jammed packed with candy and baked goods...including one pack of cookies with the store tag dated for three years prior. The smell of rancid chocolate was overpowering when I lifted the lid. Do you know what got tossed from those two totes? The 3-year-old cookies...that's all. :sick77:

I'm looking forward to seeing this episode of Wife Swap.

I watched it. It was ok. They always find the two most different families they can, and this week was no different.

I was mad when the new mom wanted to trash the coupon binder, I was watching it like "nooooooooooooooo, there are hundreds of dollars in there!!!"

And when the dad said "couponing is great, today I went to the drug store for cough medicine" I was thinking "Robi at Walgreens!!"

I agree with the coupon family, I am a SAHM and my hubby works full time, and we make just enough, I would GLADLY clip coupons to save money, long before my hubby got another job so I could have my hair done all the time.

Haha, I thought of the robitussin too :) LOL

I was annoyed because they weren't just saving to help, they were saving so her husband didn't have to work as much (or so they made it seem) they were also cheap with their kids activities and such. But, I think after the swap it looks like they might change.

My husband hates the show... he says I already have enough drama in my life :) LOL I think hes right :)

I thought it was ok but ridiculous in showing them cutting one coupon at a time. Also it would have been nice if they showed the thousands of dollars in products that mega couponers can donate..... Just my two cents.

It was re-run last night, I watched with dh and mil. We were laughing our butts off. Of course they made the couponing mom look like a total nerd. And when the new mom had to clip coupons, they showed her clipping for like 2 days straight. I wouldn't do it either if I had to spend 2 days a week clipping, lol.

Hubs said he was glad they made couponing look stupid, because then no one will want to do it. He's always afraid that stores are going to wise up to what we do and stop giving stuff away.
