My son brought home a paper on Monday which is asking for donations for care packages that will be sent to our brave men and women fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to travel size item, candy and other things, they are asking for AA and AAA batteries. I know that many of the troops have small personal entertainment items (cd players, radios) that require batteries. For many of them this is the only thing that they have to take thier minds away from the reality of thier surroundings even for a few moments.

So for those of you who have more batteries than you know what to do with, consider donating them to an organization (or sending them yourself - really cheap to do with flat rate priority USPS boxes) to send to our brave troops.

I hope you all don't mind me posting this here. i just thought it would be a good way to think about doing some good with one of our good deals.
