No the turkeys are not on sale yet. But the cream cheese 8/10 will not give a $4.00 cat but still a good deal with the coupons for holiday baking.

Don't forget that the cat deal for the cream cheese doesn't start until the 7th. I'd be the one to go on the 6th and mess it up, LOL.

11-03-2008, 06:42:07 PM
shoot - I was hoping to use my $5 Sears cats with my glade cats that expire on the 7th (I guess I'll have to use my cats to pay for the cream cheese and save some of the cream cheese ones to combine with my Best Buy cats)

I can't believe they aren't having sales on turkeys yet - they rush every other holiday

The friskies is a good deal - it's all my cat will eat (only 2 flavors though - turkey prime filets and salmon & beef filets).

I had 40+ boxes of whiskas that I had gotten at Kmart with the first super doubles (all of them were free) and she didn't like any one of them (there were about 15-20 different flavors) so I had to give them all away LOL

I was a little really confused on were the $4.00 cat was coming from on the cream cheese but I finally look under the GE cat & that does make it a much better deal. I use around 4 of them a week to make pies, will have to make room in freezer. Thank,s

I don't want to turn this into a my picky cat post - I just wanted to add that my cat's fav is the original whiskas - that perffffectly stuff they had at Kmart that we got a song - not only would my boy not eat it....he wouldn't be in the same room with it.....not kidding. I gave all mine away as well.

Oh wow - I always thought you couldn't freeze it! That's great to know, I get in kicks where I eat tons of it, and then suddenly don't want it anymore and I hate throwing it out.

Is it only good for baking after you freeze it, or can you use it on bagels? (does the texture/taste change at all?)

It tastes/looks the same to me. Depending on how long you have it frozen, you may have to mix it up some if you're eating it on bagels.

Once upon a time there was a girl reading about cream cheese so she got a craving. The girl opened her fridge and to her surprise there were 2 blocks of cream cheese. "funny" the girl thought "I haven't had a deal on cream cheese in a while, but A craving must be met." and she ate a huge spoon full just as she saw best if used by "December 2005":grouch2: on the box.

It tasted fine but it was only a few minuets ago so If I get sick I will update. It may (tiny little may) have been in the freezer but I really think it was in the spare fridge we just cleaned out.

So, looks like they are $3.99 shelf price

Buy 4 packs - $15.96 shelf price - $11.96 sale price
Use 4 .75/1 q's - $6
Pay $5.96
Get $5 cat

Rinse and repeat - paying .96 for each 4 pks when you use your $5 cat - I'll probably use my 4 $5 sears cats to pay to roll them. $3.84 for 16 packs of batteries and I'll have 4 $5 cats that won't expire for 2 more weeks

They were on sale this past week, so doubtful. But you can print 75 cent coupons for those cookies. My store sells them for about $2.25, so after doubling, they'll cost 75 cents each. x4 and oop = $3 for four cookie mixes and a dozen eggs.

Can you freeze cream cheese?
Google search on:

freezing +"cream cheese"

+

Straight from Kraft Foods:

"We do not recommend freezing cheese that will be used for spreading due to a possible change in its texture; it may become curdled in appearance and have a crumbly texture.

Regular brick cream cheese can be frozen up to 2 months for use as an ingredient in recipes."

+

Personally, I have found that items that contain dairy products are iffy when it comes to freeze or not to freeze.

I discovered that when contacting Pillsbury about freezing their dairy case cut and cook brownies.

Just got back from Giant Eagle the Brownies and Cookies are 2/4.00 and the frosting is 3/4.00
After coupons I paid 2.27 for 2 Containers of frosting one pouch of cookies and one box of brownies and a dozen eggs.
I also saw that some of the vanilla frosting had .50 off cookie coupons on the back label that said "redeem me now" They looked like they would come off easily. I didn't grab any with them. Lord knows I have enough BC baking items!!

Pillsbury Savorings are 3.50 again, 2$ a box after the 75c mq

If you have the Mambo Sprouts coupon books, there are quite a few matchups for this week:

Numi Organic Teas - 2/9$ - 1$/2mq = 4$ each

Has anyone had trouble with the eggs coming off their total? I bought 4 BC cookie mixes and my receipt shows 3 BC COOKIE MIX and the other just COOKIE MIX. I wasn't reimbursed for my eggs.....wonder if the BC in front of the cookie mix has something to do with it? The Brown eggs COULD be the problem since they showed white eggs in the ad. I had a problem last week with the cookies and crescent rolls b/c you HAD to buy the cookies that were advertised. I would take it back to CS and ask them. They have a print out of all the UPC's that are linked to this deal.

I went today to get my batteries - the cashier really scrutinized the q's (I had 2 AA, 1 AAA and 1 9V) - she handed me one q back and said I couldn't use it for the 9V - of course, she let me use it when I pointed out that it said any size C, D or 9V. She didn't look at my cream cheese q's.

Then, I used a $5 Sears cat and a $3 muir glen to pay for my order - the $5 scanned fine but it took a while for them to get it to accept the $3 cat - it said "item not found"

On a bright note, both of my $10 cats for Best Buy and my battery and cream cheese cat printed out with no problems.

Hi! My GE won't allow me to use a coupon with a BOGOF coupon. They said you can only use one or the other. Is that just my store's policy or are they just confused?

Thanks!

Are these listed in the ad, on Extended Price Reduction, or just regular price? TIA!

I never have luck using both at the grocery store either. But, with the .75/1 q's, they'll be free so you won't have to worry about it this time. I'd rather get them both free instead of paying for one and getting one free LOL

YMMV - Some stores/cashiers will allow it and others will not.

Sorry, my post was a little rushed and not clear. I used the .75 q's to get several for free and then the b1g1 separately on some others b/c 2 for 1.50 still isn't bad. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure if they're extended price reduction. I got that piece of info from another couponing website and I hadn't noticed them in the ad. They're normally 1.99 and on sale for 2/$3. Hope that helps!

My store was sold out of the bars too, so I ran up to the other one and thankfully they had a few of each flavor. I would have loved it if they would have had 9 of the mint ones...but I got 3 of mint, and 6 more of the other flavors...so 9 bars for 4.50 (3 bogos and 3 75c coupons) These will be great for stocking stuffers!

The bags of truffles are on sale for 1.99, and there was a tearpad on the display for 1$/2 bags.

If you bought 8 of the large packs - you should have gotten it. Go to CS and tell them - they should be able to scan the cream cheese and print out another for you. Otherwise, contact the catalina company.

Would someone mind telling me where you are finding the Lindt Excellence bars? The only place I could find them at my store is at the registers. They had very small dark chocolate bars at the regular price of .99.

Are you finding them in the regular candy aisle? My store has a cardboard display near the registers that has a different variety for $3.49 each.

Thanks!

I found some tonight at the Market District GE - I couldn't find them at my regular GE. They were in the candy aisle - where they sell the bag/weigh your own candy.

i found mine in the candy spot where pittsburgh said..where you weigh and everything..hard to find because i NEVER go into that area..i know surprising but like i will pay full price when i can get a cheaper on sale at cvs lol!
but this deal made me look..took me 20mins but i found the section! it had lindt truffles on a display at the end so very noticeable.
they had HUNDREDS of different kind of bars, but no chilli :( thats what i was really really hoping for to find.

word of advice. the intense dark...is REALLY INTENSE :hysterical: my DH is a big fan of dark chocolate (you know the cheap brand Hershey lol) so im thinking intense dark he will like.
take one bite and bam! you got ya chocolate fix in one bite it was so strong. but he loovved it :)
another good one was the pear...and no it doesn't taste like a pear lol but it has a flavor thats really good.

I ordered more coupons for this deal! family is goin to love me on christmas!:BigHand:

Haha! That's funny about the intense dark chocolate. I got both the 70 and the 85% for my mom - she LOVES dark chocolate, the higher the % the better for her. She rarely eats it, but it's like crack to her when she does LOL She's a super health food nut and she's naturally hyper...so to see her eat something with sugar and caffeine in it, it's just too funny.

I grabbed one of the pear and was telling her about it...she said we'll have to taste test them tomorrow when she stops over. I told her I thought I'd save them for her for Christmas, and she said 'no way! I need chocolate NOW!' LOL I think being semi-non-mobile (with her broken shoulder) is driving her insane - she's needs her crack...er chocolate :-)
