Though that probably worked out for the best, in my case. I think my cashier's head would've exploded if I gave her one more BOGO coupon! At least its still free after ECB!

Other day we made a pit stop at cvs. So i picked up 5 revlon nail polishes and the bengay.
used the $7/$15 color cosmetics crt and $3 IP on the bengay. used $5ecb,$5.50 ecb from summer spending and a $3 ecb. Paid $4 and some change oop and got back $17 ecb. I need to start getting back in the swing of cvs but i got used to the $4/$20 coupons and now i dont get them anymore :(

A friend of mine (Suzi Q. Pon) pointed out the fact that the Beggin Strips were on sale at CVS this week for $2 and that the 10/10 RP had a $1/1 MC (and there's a $4/4 in the 9/12 RP). I looked in the coupon database and found another insert Q for Free Busy Bone when you buy Beggin Strips that would expire at midnight. So I bought the Beggin Strips for $2, but I got $1 off and a Busy Bone FREE for each one that I bought with coupons. That's $1 for over $9 in puppy dog treats. Of course I used a $4/$20 and EBs to wipe out almost all of my OOP!! :BigHand:

I would have created a thread for the deal, but I didn't put it all together until about 9:00 on Sunday night.

OK, I think I'm gonna beat everyone here!

Yestereday I stopped by CVS while the kids were at church and they had marked a lot of stuff 90% off. I picked up:

Used one of the many Crest and Pantene coupons out there, plus a $1 off Disney vitamins Q (not sure where that came from) so the total was $4.40 for 10 items, paid for it with EB, so my OOP was only 50 cents tax.

Then I went back to day-- and they had even more stuff 90% off! I won't list it all here, but it was AMAZING! I bought EIGHT-EIGHT ITEMS for a grand total of $52.06 before coupons! (I did have a little hiccup in that the cashier wouldn't accept coupons on clearance items. I called corporate and they will take the coupons-- I just haven't made it back to the store yet. So my OOP will be about $10 less.)

My favorite purchases are the ones where I can buy lots of things and donate them to charity in bulk. Our church prepares new baby gift bags for the local food pantry-- they will get the baby food/formula, the six Baby Orajels at 74c each, and the seven Huggies Littel Swimmers (97c each). The CUb Scouts prepare care packages for soldiers-- they will get the 6 COn-air folding brushes at 30c each and the 5 CVS cough drops at 19c each. The battered women's shelter will get the shampoos and the Playtex tampons (57c each) The food pantry will get the 4 Tylenol at 67c each and the cleaning products. My son will take the 9 cent Scooby-Doo treat next time his his turn to provide snacks for the den meeting.

And the six Leggs brand body shapers, size XL and XXL? I know of a local church that has a free prom shop every spring-- open to anyone who needs a prom dress for that special day. I know they have a real need for body shapers. esp in large sizes. And they would never, ever be able to find anything similar for 97 cents each.

SO-- I am really stoked! I lOVE CVS!!!

I was expecting the cashier to have to adjust down the Febreeze coupons since they exceeded the price of the items, but they all went through for the full amount! My oop could have been a little lower if my paper had gotten the Purex coupons. But I'm not going to complain because .64 is still a good price. Plus, the overage on the Febreeze made up for it.
