i tried esaver for the first time at kroger a few weeks ago, and several didn't work so i took the items back. tried one item again a week later, same thing (pantene). wrote to esaver about it, no answer. coupon still shows on my active list, so no clue what i did wrong! love playing the coupon game, but i don't like getting burned. (guess that happens every now and then to all of us?) just wondering if anyone else has esaver issues and how you dealt with it.

My Esaver Pantene purchase yesterday also did not show up on my receipt, but my Cover Girl purchase in the same transaction did show up, so I am thinking that it has something to do with the Pantene. I also sent an email to Esaver and waiting for a response. I had this happen one other time at the very beginning of Esaver's existence and they responded and added the money back to my Kroger card. We will see if they are still as quick and easy to deal with as last time.

My Pantene purchase didn't work because it's "buy one conditioner or shampoo 12.6 or larger and get a styler free". I bought the shampoo thinking I'd get the conditioner free. Didn't work. have to take it back.
All my other esavers work. I've done...
CG buy one mascara get one (used /w cpns)
Natural Instincts w/ a cpn
Duracell
Febreeze noticables w/ a cpn to make it 3 overage.
You really have to watch the items or be exact. Make sure your Kroger card # is correct.

I have tried to use the Esavers on several differnt things and they have never worked. I have emailed the compnay several times and the first time I got the auto responce asking the store name/address/ additional info email which I replied back to. Then nothing. I emailed two weeks later asking for a status update and they emailed me back that my account username and password were fine, that they just tested it and were able to log in fine. Um....weird.
I tried to purchase something else with the new coupons I loaded and they too didn't work. So I emailed the company and in the email I listed all of the store/purchase info and I sited the last email and responce and have heard nothing back and that has been over a week.
I purchased the Febreze Noticables, didn't work.

Can I combine a printed manufacturers coupon with a coupon from shortcuts.com or the esaver coupon loaded on my kroger card?
For example, if I have a printed man. coupon for charmin toilet paper, and I have a coupon downloaded on my kroger card for charmin toilet paper, will both of these coupons apply to the one item, or will I have to purchase two items to use both coupons?

Don't forget PG e-saver too! You can get overage on the febreze noticeable. Also free or GDA: BC pouch potatoes, GG box veggies (on sale this week), cottonelle (with this weekend's .25 Q), yo+ yogurt (not sure if this e-Q is still available, but I have it on my card)

I purchased one Febreze noticeable starter kit the dayafter the P&G e-saver came out. I got the email confirmation that my card was loaded prior to shopping. This was my first time, wanted to abide by all the rules, because I am new at couponing. My P&G e-saver $5.00 coupon did not come off. Neither did my Cottonelle 25 cents.
I emailed P&G customer service immediately. I heard from them 2 days later and they assigned a tracking number to my "case." They wanted to know the day I shopped,the store name, the product, etc. I gave them everything they asked and more (info from the receipt). I have emailed them once again to ask where their investigation is. I have heard nothing since then - that was 10 days ago.
I would like to call but I don't see a phone number anywhere.
I have no assurance that future coupons will work either. Anyone have any advice? TIA.

I had the same thing happen to me the first time I used it. I assumed that I had just bought the wrong size, flavor, whatever. I never pursued it but the next time I loaded q's, it did work if that's any consolation.
I'm not sure, but maybe you'd be able to pursue it through Kroger's customer service. Since it's tied to your card maybe they can see whether the q's are loaded or not.

I have had problems recently dealing with shortcuts, though P&Gs have worked fine for me. I could not redeem 2 of my e-Qs tonight, so I emailed, but I'm almost expecting them to reply by saying that they "could not validate my claim". It's very frustrating that there's no other way to contact them besides email, but I would probably keep pursuing that route. In my experience, the CSMs at Kroger cannot help, because they have no idea that the e-Qs even exist and have nothing to do with the way that they function...

I tried talking to Kroger's CS at the store. They don't know anything about the P&G program and pretty much refused to help
I think my next move will be to call P&G corporate. Somebody there will know how to refer me to the right person to get this resolved.

I am new to couponing - about 2 months. I found out about P&G about a week before this last batch of coupons came out. I waited for the email that they were loaded & headed to my store to shop the next day. Seems like I abided by all the rules. Made sure I purchased only a couple of items so I could judge how the system worked until I got my feet wet. Well, it didn't work at all. I purchased a Febreze Noticeables Starter Kit and a 4-pack of Cottonelle. Neither coupon came off. That was on 10/11.
I immediately emailed P&G. The very same day I got a form email with a subject line in French, informing me that they didn't have coupons to give away online - (!?)
On 10/13, two days later, I got another email requesting info regarding what store I shopped, location, and coupons I attempted to use. I supplied these right away. They also assigned a case number.
On, 10/23, ten days later, I again emailed P&G via their website (not by replying to their email) and included my case number. I refreshed their memory about the case with a few details, told them that I had been waiting for 10 days for them to resolve this problem so that I could shop at my Kroger and use my coupons, but had no assurance that they would work, and would they please contact me asap and let me know if my card was indeed loaded and ready to go.
Yesterday they responded to me with the message below which I have copied word-for-word. No "Dear Customer", no name signed, no smack of any authority at all. Looks like a 12-year-old wrote it.
I know emails are informal, but forgive me, I was in the business world for a lot of years, and the very least a huge corporation with a reputation like P&G could do who is writing a semi-business communication is sign their name......even if all they are doing is giving a half-answer to what they must consider an annoying customer. I still don't have any idea if my card is properly loaded or not. So now I'm just back to square one.
Here's their rinky dink response:

Thanks, we will put a credit on your card which can be used towards any
purchase at the store. This credit will appear within 1-2 weeks, so watch

thanks teddymom. please keep us informed if they do indeed follow through on that! i still have heard nothing back on my pantene issue, (at least you got a "case number") but all other esavers have been working for me. perhaps the bigger ticket items were too much for them to honor, but i'm still hopeful they will redeem themselves.

My Pantene didn't go through either. I bought a shampoo and then a spray on detangler. I am wondering if it is because the detangler counts as a conditioner and not a styler. It's shaped like a bottle of hairspray, so it didn't even occur to me that it would be considered something else. I guess I'll write to them too since all they can do is say no.
Everything else worked fine for me.

I have had MAJOR problems with the shortcuts coupons lately (no problems with esaver). I have had 3 in the last week that did not come off, and emailing the standard form does nothing. They simply respond back by saying that "they cannot validate my claim". No explanation, no way to refute their charge, not even any further contact information like a name or phone number. I currently have a separate email in to the general customer service group, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope on them responding. I love the idea of these e-coupons, but they're not worth it when they're this much trouble to redeem.
It's absolutely infuriating that I take the time to patronize their site, load their coupons, buy the items listed, and email them about the problems that crop up, then they send some canned response that shows that they didn't even read what I wrote. I've just signed up for a new Kroger Plus Rewards card anyway, so when I get this issue resolved I'm dropping the old card from shortcuts ASAP. If I continue to have problems with the new card, I will try resolving it with shortcuts ONCE, then I will simply return the items and inform Kroger of why I was unable to purchase items from their store. Let them deal with the hassle...

How do they think they can stay at the forefront of marketing their products? This is irritating enough for me to think about boycotting P&G products in favor of others when I am in the store if I have a choice.

I loaded the Shortcuts coupons about 15 mins before i went to the store and they came off with no problems. I loaded a P&G coupon days ago and what do you know, it didn't work. I have an email in to them, we will see how it goes. Until they I think I will just stay away rom the P&G until I hear about better results from people.

I had the exact same experience and have the exact same thoughts as you do!!
I first purchased the Febreze on Oct. 10 and my ecoupon didn't work. After almost 3 weeks without resolution, I returned the Febreze. On the same visit I bought the Herbal Essence. Surprise...that didn't work either.
So I emailed them AGAIN and asked them to look into it, reminding them that I'd never heard back about the first problem. I let them know I was very unimpressed with their customer service, and I would be very hesitant to use their coupons in the future.
Well lo and behold, I got the same email you did this morning.
What am I going to be credited for? The Febreze that I already returned?
The Herbal Essence?
I guess I'll find out in "1-2 weeks".....:hectic1:

the only thing i can figure is that they must be having many problems with their e-coupon system. up until about a month ago...it worked like a charm!! since then..I have had nothing but "Issues" with them. the febreeze didn't work right...the Pantene didn't work right...I have emailed...heard back once stating that they needed barcodes and exact description of purchase. did. nothing since. do you think that possible they are just getting TONS of emails about q's not working? this makes me sad...I really did like using them.

The first time I tried it, it didn't work then I went in Halloween to get a febreeze to use up my coupon and it worked I ended up in overage cause I honestly didn't even think bout how it was still on my computer. The cashier was trying to give me the money saying that's what they do but I got him to let me buy some candy bar's to bring me back into the positive cause I didn't want a ruckuss... I wonder if checking out in the self check out versus by a cashier makes a difference? Cause the first time I went to self check out and it didn't work second time I went thru a cashier and it worked... so dunno

i have YET to receive a response to my numerous esaver help emails. site will not let me load anymore coupons on, saying i have 25 when my active coupons do not total 25. i know i have used some coupons, yet they do not show in my redemmed coupon pile. so, i have no clue about the accuracy of the site, what coupons i have left to use and how to plan my shopping accordingly. very disappointed!! i wonder if it will make an impact if those of us who are unhappy unsubscribe to the service... it's just one less "list" i need to spend time on. and makes me wonder if they are just as lax on protecting your privacy with your card info....hmmm....

Mine did the same thing. I got a new Kroger card because I wanted one of those Plus Rewards cards, so I just got a new account under a different email address and tossed my old card. So far, both e-saver and shortcuts seem to be working, but I feel like it's only a matter of time before they quit. You may want to contact P&G through their customer service page (instead of the e-saver page), and Kroger as well. Kroger probably won't be able to do anything (may have no idea what you're talking about), but they should be aware that their partner companies are not upholding promised discounts and have such abysmal customer service.

I just wanted to add, when your Shortcuts q's do not come off at your time of purchase, email them (there's a contact us button on their website). This has happened to me a couple of times, I check off what I purchased and did not receive credit for. They have always emailed me immediately, crediting my Kroger card with the full amt. that should have been deducted.

a couple months ago, my herbal essense esaver did not come off my receipt. quite a few other people on here stated they have had problems as well.
after much persistence and many emails reporting the problem, i finally got an email response (perhaps because my last email stated i was ready to unsubscribe?):
"Thank you for contacting your P & G eSAVER Account help center.
Please email us a list of the specific items that you purchased, your card#, and fax your receipt to ***-***-**** with your email address included on the receipt and we can look into this issue."
two days after doing so, my online esavers acct. showed a credit on there, as if it was a coupon waiting to be redeemed. lo and behold, the value got taken off my next shopping trip. so my faith in p&g esavers is redeemed! :BigHand:
for those of you who have had problems, be persistent, and it should pay off. hope this helps anyone!

I have emailed eSavers 6 times about my coupons not working....not a SINGLE one has come off yet. I have had 3 responses from them, all asking for information, none apologetic or resolving anything. I have been astonished at their lack of professionalism and customer service. Even their grammar and spelling in their emails is poor. Of course this is probably outsourced to someone in India.....
However, the last one promised a $5 credit within 1-2 weeks. That was over 4 weeks ago. I am new to couponing, so this quarter's eSaver's coupons is my first experience with P&G. It has left a bad taste in my mouth. As a last resort, I called company HQ about 10 days ago, spoke with several people, none of whom knew anything about the eSaver program, because they were in the commercial B2B end of the company (it is a HUGE int'l corp). One kind woman promised to get my name and phone number to the right people. She called back two days later and told me that she routed my data to the right dept and they were getting ready to have a conf call about this very thing and she felt sure that someone would be getting back with me. That was last Wednesday. I think by now I can be assured that this is going nowhere for me. I'm happy for the people that it works for, but why the inconsistency? And why have a program if you don't plan on servicing the customer that you developed it for?

This one may not be in the dictionary. Kroger often (every 3-4 months) does a "mega-event", where you can buy, for example, 10 selected items and get $5 off your order. Last time they had an event, there were several items that were free after the sale, if you had coupons.

I usually shop at the Willow Lawn Kroger because it's closer but I love that Eastridge store! The people there are so nice and helpful.

In training customer service is the one thing they spend the most time on, I was REALLY surprised how much they drill it in to you...not payroll, uniform, ect.. but custmore service, my boss will be so happy to know that people notice the difference in her store :wink7:

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone else had run into problems with Qs doubling at Kroger. I generally shop at the SW Durham Dr. store, which does NOT limit like coupons. My friend who shops there says she's never had a problem, but lately my coupons haven't been doubling, even regular old insert Qs. I got one manager to give me a refund on them, but another manager told me too bad, what doubles doubles and what doesn't double doesn't.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Any ideas? I tried calling CS, but of course they're closed on the weekend.

I haven't run into this problem at my local Krogers, but I have noted that on some occasions, my cashier has had to manually double the coupons-- and mine always do so.
Does your Kroger have the "unlimited manufacturers double up to and including .50" guarantee? If so, I would inquire with the store manager as to what lengths they are willing to go to make certain that is what is occurring when coupons are accepted.

I used to be able to print my list from shortcuts but for the last few months it won't work. I have tried from a couple computers. I get the print to pop up but nothing prints. No problem printing anything else including coupons. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Nancy

I never get the shortcuts list to print either. Same thing, it pulls up the list to print and then nothing happens. This is the way I do it now: When you have your ''my coupons'' pulled up instead of hitting print to pull up the list, print them from that page. Usually it will say at the top of your ''my coupons'' how many pages of coupons you have saved-1,2,etc. I have just been printing the whole thing a page at a time. Print, then go to my page 2 etc. and print it. Yes it uses more paper, yes it's a pain, but it's the only way I can get anything to take to the store with me. Still yet it sometimes takes quite a few mintues for those pages to print! I have no idea why I have so many problems with it. I hope this makes sense:shrug7:

Thanks that worked. Now if I could just get credit for each coupon that I use on shortcuts. The dispute won't work for me anymore. I get an email back from shortcuts that they can't find my information.

This sounds simple but are you scanning your Kroger card BEFORE you give them your coupons? The card has to be scanned pre-coupons for them to double.

I have a question about Kroger doubling coupons up to .50 cents. I have a .75 cent coupon I would like to use there. Will I get $1.24 off the cost of the product?? Or will they not take it because the value is over 50 cents? Thanks in advance!

You can use the coupon, but it will only be redeemed for face value. Kroger's in the Mid-Atlantic area only double up to and including $.50. If you have a $.55 coupon, you only get $.55 off the product.

I had a problem last night with a crest pro-health coupon. I received it from P&g as a rebate for a free tube of Pro health. Cashier scanned coupon and said she couldn't take it because the price exceeded the item. I told her it was for up to 3.99-can't you adjust it? She would not do it so I told her never mind take the toothpaste off. When she took it off I noticed that there was a P&G esaver for the toothpaste also for 1.50. So I should have made 1.50 on the toothpaste. Should I go back and try again maybe speak with a manager or take my coupon elsewhere. I have used coupons in the past for xxx amount off in combo with esaver,cellfire,shortcuts-no problem. Just this one particular Q. I can still use the esaver Q with another man. Q I have for 1.50-so still free. Any help?

Kim, if I read your post correctly, then the cashier should have just entered the price since the Q was up to $3.99. Most free's say.."up to $X.xx" anyway, and have to have the price entered before any $$ is deducted. The e-coupons can be used with a paper manufacturer coupon so I don't *think* that was the problem. Just a cashier error. As far as going back to speak with the manager, I personally wouldn't do it because like you said , you have other Q's to combine to make it free anyway. With much less hassle. I would just use it elsewhere. But that's just me. HTH's! =)

For some reason the Kraft Cheese Blinkies for .75 off of 2% Kraft cheese kept ringing at 2 bucks when I was at Kroger yesterday. I'm not sure why. They were already on sale for 2 bucks so I got them free.
How often do these freak things occur? This time the error was in my favor... but I don't like it when it's the other way around. I'm wondering if I should have said something.
I'm a newbie. Been at this for just a month or so!

It isnt ringing at $2 (or atleast in my experience) its ringing as enter amount and the cashier SHOULD enter .75 but sometimes they dont realize that and enter the price of the item. yes you should say something when its being rung up to give them a heads up its asking for the price of the coupon not the price of the product.

Huh. I used this coupon two weeks ago at the very same store (Kroger) and it was only .75 off. This time, it was totally different. The computer automatically took it off. I didn't see the cashier put any amounts into the system. I guess I'll consider this very weird!

Can anyone help me with a Kroger (Mid-Atlantic) question? I went there today because of their $5 off of 10 select items up to 30 items.
I meticulously picked and triple counted my items. But I think I may have picked up the wrong Scotch Brite Sponges (which I only needed one of to make my 30 items, but bought 2 to make sure I was covered and cuz my q for it was off of 2 sponges).
I only got $10.00 off instead of $15.00 :sad:
Is there any way to still get my $5.00 off, without returning every thing and re-ringing. Could I return 9 items and then re-buy?
Has anyone else done this? I feel like an idiot. Next time I will make sure I get all of them BEFORE I leave the register!!!! I normally do, but got in a discussion with the super nice cashier lady about couponing.
Please help . . .

The same happened to me yesterday. I specifically got 30 items and made sure they were all the ones with tags marked and checked in the add, although some weren't in there.
But anyway, I took my receipt and basket to the Costumer service since the line I checked out of was so long. They checked all my items and said yes I should have gotten my 5.00 on the 3rd set but I had to then go back to the cashier that checked me out since all my coupons were with her. I had to get all the coupons back and do the whole thing all over again and that time it worked. That was a lot of work and time sonsuming but I got the last 5.00 off. Not sure if it was worth all the hassel.
Today I went in and wanted to do 2 transactions but I only did one. Took the stuff to my car and then went in and did the 2nd. I didn't want to risk the same problem happening again.

Did you check your receipt to make sure you have 20 plus signs? That's how you can tell if the item counted towards the mega sale or not. It would read, for example, Armour meatballs (+) 2.49.
If you have something that doesn't have the + next to it but should have been included, then point that out when you go back. If it was included last week but not this week - they do that sometimes - then take back 9 of the items and rebuy with one extra.

I agree with judeshoney. The items that qualify have a (+).
This happened to me once during one of the Mega Sales that included Dial Handsoap. I noticed immediately at the register one of the $5 didn't come off at the end so I went to the CS desk, the clerk & I looked over my receipt and noticed there was no (+) next to the Dial , double checked the ad to make sure it was included, it was, she then counted all the (+)'s and sure enough the Dial is what threw it off. She just gave me the $5 at the CS desk.
I try to handle any issues as soon as they happen so there is no "return & re-buy" , that is too much of a hassle @ my stores.

I'd call first. Ask if you can bring in your receipt and show them, w/o bringing in the items. If you have only 29 instead of the 30, they should let you buy 1 item, they'll ring it up, then credit you the $5.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I bought 30 items and my husband bought 30 items. We both were only give $15. I went up to customer service and the + was not next to the Cheez its or BC fruit snacks. They were really nice and just asked me for my Kroger card and gave me the $10 in cash.

I am kind of new to all this couponing stuff. But I love my Kroger, but they keep ringing up the price of my items wrong and I don't notice it until I got home. Last time I called and they said to just bring it in it was their mistake and they gave me the cash back for the price difference. But now it has happened again and I thought I heard that I should then get the item free if it rings up incorrectly. Is that true or does it vary per store.
