View Full Version : Giant Eagle ~ Question Ohio GE shoppers- Is the black and gold bucks only for PA?

I am a Transplant Pttsburgh Fan in cincinnati. I am heading to akron this weekend, and of course i gotta shop at GE!!
It would be sooo cool if i could get these bucks to help pay for my Steelers lamp and Hoodie.
Is the Black and gold bucks only for Pittsburgh? Or does it work in ohio?

But I will tell you I've never heard of the black and gold bucks here in Ohio.

Oh man, I'm sorry, but I busted out laughing when I saw this thread title. Now after reading it I realize Steeler fans can be anywhere, but considering our Browns rivalry :whistle67:... I'm going to guess there are no bucks for Ohio people :shrug7:.

i wish, most of my family our steelers fans. would be great to get those bucks. My sisters family lives in pa but not near any GE. she is also a steeler's fan.
My DH and i don't really follow football anymore but we do sit and watch the big ones.
we also say "THE browwnnss" when mentioning them and my MIL (who lives in ohio with me) has the terrible towel for every Pittsburgh game lol

Does anyone know if there is a list of participating GE's? Or if it's any PA Giant Eagle? Specifically Chippewa or Alliquippa? Can you do more than one per transaction of the same product? ie 10 pastas get 2 b&g bucks?

There is no mention of the black and gold bucks in the stores or ads. The only place I hear them talked about is here. So, since GE is nearly my second home - I would guess no.
Yesterday though at my Portage Couty GE they had black and gold recycling bags that had Giant Eagle AND Steelers logos on them.
