Please remember that just because a member has an I-Trader feedback score under their name this does not mean they are a trader at HCW.

Please remember if you trade with a member that does not have the user rank of trader or trader in training listed under their member name, HCW will not mediate bad trades for you. If a member pm's you with a trade offer and they are not a trading member yet, just direct them to the rules and guidelines forum here in the trading area of the board so they can become one.

Wow! News to me at least. Thanks for taking the time to explain--I just figured the I trader numbers were what I looked at. Thanks again!!

so, is it 'bad' to trade with someone who is not with the group?
other than you may learn a lesson when you don't get your end of the bargain?
like, will you (I) be reprimanded???

While we won't tell you that you can't do it, it's not recommended. It's not against the rules so no you won't be reprimanded. The people that are in TNT or Traders have agreed to read the rules of trading and to follow them. So that only benefits you.

Just know going in that if you did get burned (and I'm not saying that you would) you wouldn't have the help of the trade mediators.

Question: If a person sends you a trade request via the coupon database...how do you find out what type of trader they are? If they do not have any itrader feedback how do you determine if they are a TNT or if they are just someone trying to do a trade that's not a memeber?

Thanks!!

Hi
Only traders and TNTs should be able to post lists in the database. But to make sure, if you click on "trader info" under their name in the db you can see their profile info where you can see if they have the trader or tnt status. Or just look them up in the member list.

So can non-traders ride on trains?

(sorry - just curious about this and I actually do not know the answer)

no they may not ride on trains. Only members of the Trader group may ride on trains. Great question, thanks for asking!

Thanks! That makes sense - but I wanted to make sure.

Do you have to be a trader to offer a RAOK? Since the RAOK forum is under the 'trading' header.

I'm thinking you have to be a trader to even post in the RAOK forum.
