BTFE's what for?

I am wondering why people are always asking for these? I save them for my kids school. Is there another benefit for them?
Do homeschoolers collect from them as well?

Some people don't have kids but have boxtops.
Some people have older kids that can not use boxtops.
I trade Q's I can not use for boxtops for my sons school contest.
I use the boxtops as behavior rewards for my son, so he earns them from me.
Last year he wrote a paper all about collecting boxtops.
He took a map of the US and every time a box top trade came in he looked up the state on the map and put a smiley sticker.
He had a great time.

I save them for my kids too, but if someone has cpns I'm ISO and they have BTFE on their WL, then I'll offer what I have as part of the trade.

What a great idea!!! My kids have the contest too. It is for a drawing at the end of the year to win a webkin. That is a neat idea to make him earn them and track them on the map.

Ya, food comes before sending them to the school. I have gone all this time and have never known how to use the btfe's for that purpose. Thanks for answering!

So funny! I was just about to post that exact question. I saw someone who has Qs that I want and they said "starting 10 BTFEs" - I had no idea. I"m so glad I didn't send my pile with my kids the other day!!!:BigHand:

I trade for them TO send to my son's school. They do 2 drawings per year, and pick out winners, who can then choose a prize, but they always have a seperate one, the person that brings in the most box tops to the contest (They started it for me... :) 'cause I was bringing in 2-300 per contest...) so it basically guarentees my son a prize, plus, I get to see his name in the school paper, and it get's framed.

The last contest, he won a $10 AMC theater giftcard, a "build it yourself" 35mm camera as well as a pencil and seamonkeys.

I collect them to give to my son's school, because it's the only way I can give back to them for the things that they do for us.

This is the second year they've helped me fix my car (brakes and oil change this year) They also give us scholarships to all field trips, my PTA membership, and his afterschool programs.

Because of my disabilities, I can't volunteer, so about the only thing I can do is btfe/clfe to help financially. (and I also collect old phones, which they turn in for money too) :)
