Hi there! Ran into my first nasty-coupon-queen last week. Here's what happened...
I shopped at another Kroger and purchased an item that was on sale as a Buy One Get One Free. I had two coupons for these two items. At the first Kroger, they allowed me to use two coupons toward my purchase because, as they noted, I was buying two items. And as the customer service rep added, they are getting paid back for the coupons so there was no loss.

I did this again at the Ferguson Kroger last Sunday and, rather loudly, was told that I was not allowed to use two coupons for $.55 each on a Buy One Get One Free promotion. I explained that I had done this previously and what the other Kroger had told me and the cashier said 'well everyone else did it wrong - you can't do that because we don't get paid and they all did it wrong.' Our discussion continued a bit longer but it was Sunday, there were alot of people behind me and I don't like to cause a scene.

But here's my question - what is Kroger's policy on this? And is there a place I can print out their policy to take it in (if in fact they do allow 2 coupons for a BOGO promotion). Thanks so much!!! :BigHand:

This is a YMMV situation. It depends on the particular wording.

In a nutshell, if you buy the lavender and vanilla scented oil warmer at 4.49, you get a 4.00 OYNO cat back. Hey, I shop at the landen Kroger sometimes too. Kroger typically does not accept the Cat coupons from Meijer.

It sounds like it, as long as it is not expired and dos not exclude the type you are buying. Where did you get the q?

The sale ends today in Cincinnati area stores. (At least that is how it is supposed to work.) You might call your store to verify.

Welcome! All Greater Cincinnarti area stores double (unlimited) all coupons up to .50, and all coupons between .50 and .99 get rounded to 1.00.

I loaded the P&G coupons on my card before I left at 4:15, got an acknowledgment email at 4:24, then shopped at 4:45 and nothing came off my total!
I see that I can email customer service at P&G, but can they do anything? I had my $50 purchase for the $120 coupons, and really don't want a huge hassle.

I loaded my coupons on my Kroger card for what I wanted to buy this evening and it loaded within 10 minutes. I had sat and figured out $25.00+ worth of stuff to get the $5.00 off, plus a few sad little coupons lol! I checked my receipt and I did get all the coupons off plus the extra $5.00 off, so basically I got the large Folgers ($5.99) for .74 cents! I spent $31.32 but on my CRT said I saved $19.38. I am half way toward my $50.00 P&G total! woo! hoo! The Puffs were $1.99 box and I have not seen them that low around here for a while. Since I did not have any coupons for Puffs, I only got four boxes. After DH and me both sniffleing for the last couple of weeks we were completely out. I can't stand to blow my nose on TP! I love my Puffs!

I think their official policy is for advertised items only. I could have sworn that the Quaker Cereals were in the ad. Sometimes their items are officially advertised in one circular but then the tag has the item for several weeks. I would call and ask for the manager on that one and ask. I think you were in the right.

I went to the Kroger website and picked my preferred store where I live. I then found the "contact us" at the bottom of the page and I emailed them to ask about the coupon policy.
They emailed me back a couple of days later and told me there policy. You could do that with the rain check question as well I would think? :shrug7:

i have a question to. i made a trip to Kroger's to get the Dial 3 pack bar soap. it was on sale 10/10 and i had .35 cent coupons. i noticed when i was scanning them that it did not double any of them ( i was doing self checkout). i pressed the call button for help, the attendee walks over and says "what?" i thought oh no here we go. i said my coupons didn't double. she said oh honey they did. i said no i had ten coupons. so do i need to cancel it and re-run it? she said no we could do that a hundred times it wouldn't work. i said okay. so she leaves is gone for a little bit and then comes back. she says we don't know why it didnt double, but i manually did it.

has this happened to anyone else? i was so glad it didn't happen on the free toilet paper deal as my store was very cranky about that!

Megan there has been talk the Dial coupons start with a 9 and they do not double. At least she did it for you but that is why they did not double normally like they usually do.

You cannot use 2 manufacturer coupons on the same items. In your scenario above, you would need to purchase 2 items, the x off 2 covers 2, and the x off 1 covers the other one. Also, the store coupons can be combined with manu q's, unless it says not to be combined with other discount coupons or something like that.

Krogers does has some very good deals sometimes. I usually only shop at Kroger because I spend so much time in the dang stores as it is because I also work in them. I put up the blinkies and ads. My favorite thing about Kroger is that they take internet printable coupons and have unlimited double coupons. Combine those things with a good sale and you can get some great deals. Not to mention now they have Kroger coupons, and the internet coupons that you add to your Kroger card.
Meijers is inconvenient for me. I do shop at Marsh sometimes but they won't double a coupon over .50. What can I say, I love to shop at Krogers...:giggle2:

You load them on your Kroger card. They do not double, the limit is one, and Kroger does permit you to use them in conjunction with paper coupons for now.

Ok, I was wondering how exactly do I know which region I am in? I dont know if this is where I should post this or not but thought I would give it a try. I am in southern indiana, figured I would be in the lousiville thread but the sales there are not the same as the kroger near me, as a matter of fact I cant seem to find where I fit in. Columbus, IN is the closest store to me and this is the one I am trying to find. I am actually about 20-30 min away but this is my closest store that is why I havent checked into this much as of yet but I would love to know what thread I should be in. Cellfire doesn't double BUT you can use a coupon with Cellfire.
Example: Yoplait Kids Diego yogurt on sale for $4/2. I had 2 $1.50/1 printed coupons making them $.50 each. With the $1.00 off from cellfire, they were free.
I like Cellfire and Shortcuts. Even P&Gsaver has worked for me.

No triples in our region, boohoo. Cellfire does not double. You can go to cellfire.com, and load them on to your card. Sometimes there a coupons for freebies, so definitely worth it, imo.

I remember Kroger doing triples- years and years ago, my mom would dig out all her Qs, be gone for hours, and come home with tons and tons of 'good' stuff we would never usually get, sugary cereal and expensive prepackaged stuff - we were in heaven...:smile:

Yes, they can refuse to scan or take a coupon. Most of the time the cashiers do scan a coupon. Blinkies in our area say DND and they won't double. Some coupons may say DND but start with a 5 and double anyway, and some may not say DND but they start with a 9 and will not double. Like the dial coupons. They will not double.

A lot depends on the cashier and if they want to make the time to key it in or if they even know how to key it in. Usually the cashier won't mess with it unless it beeps or they cannot scan it.
If you are familiar with your store, you will get to know which cashiers to avoid. There are a couple at my neighborhood store that I avoid. One of them has no clue how to key in a coupon and has to be watched like a hawk because he skips coupons, the other one scrutinizes each coupon and takes forever.

Hi all! I went to Kroger this morning and did my usual self-check-out. I always scan around and see if anyone leaves their cats hanging in the machine (or politely ask them if they want them). Today, a man got many groceries and left the store without his cats. I picked them off the machine and noticed that they all said "Best Customer Coupon" along the tops. I have never seen this before and wondered what that meant or how I get to be a "Best Customer." Are there any perks that come with that sort of recognition?

:smile:Hi all! I went to Kroger this morning and did my usual self-check-out. I always scan around and see if anyone leaves their cats hanging in the machine (or politely ask them if they want them). Today, a man got many groceries and left the store without his cats. I picked them off the machine and noticed that they all said "Best Customer Coupon" along the tops. I have never seen this before and wondered what that meant or how I get to be a "Best Customer." Are there any perks that come with that sort of recognition?

I have to get a generic Rx filled, and my Dr. said Kroger had the cheapest price for the generic. However, to my knowledge Kroger doesn't have any coupons for a gift card with new/transferred prescriptions like CVS/Wags do. Does the pharmacy accept competitor coupons for gift card offers on new prescriptions? Since Ralphs (under the Kroger brand) has these coupons all the time, would they accept one of those?

if one is a KROGER coupon and not a manf. coupon, I think so. if they BOTH say Manf. coupon then no. if one is a bogo and one is a $$ off of 1, that may be ok but is VERY YMMV.

On the q's that came in the paper today for Kroger (even thoguh they don't say just redeemable at Kroger) the wording have me confused as to how many of some of the products I have to buy...like the one that says 'Save $1.00 wyb (2) two Manwich 15.5oz. AND Kroger buns 8ct'.

Does this mean that I have to buy 2 manwich and 2 buns, or what?!?!

Correct, you have to buy all 3 and cannot use any other coupons on those three. If it said free Kroger buns wyb 2 Manwich, that would be different. In that case you would get the buns free and could use coupons on the Manwich too. I can dream, right?

I have seen on this thread that if a Q says Manufacturer Coupon, it shouldn't matter that it has a store logo, but has anyone succeeded in using those Kroger mailer Qs at other stores? Sometimes someone else has a great price I've wanted to combine with the Kroger mailer Q, but I've never had the guts to use one of them somewhere else.

Yes, the non catalina Kroger mailers that are manufacturer coupons are fine to use at other stores. I have used them at many without problems.

You do not have to buy all 10, they will ring up at 1.00 each. As far as the raincheck goes, this is YMMV. Sometimes they will allow you to do this, but usually they will make you use it in one trip.

Yes, unlimited doubles up to .50. Coupons between .50 and 1.00 are rounded up to 1.00. 1.00 and above are at face value.

Yes they do double and signs say unlimited

But alot of us have ran into the problem of the store limiting. So i would ask your manager what their policy is as we have noticed different kroger stores allow different things.

On the bottom of my receipt it says spend $150 between 07/05 and 07/25 and receive one 10% off one total order from 07/29-08/08. How does this work? Will I receive a print out good for the 10%? Will it attach to my card? Can I choose which order to use it on? Also, is that before coupons or after? The total to get to the $150 was calculated before coupons/store discounts. TIA!

I noticed that my Kroger actually has a new sign up that says unlimited double coupons. They can limit the quantity of a product you buy but I have never had them limit the coupons. I usually don't do more than 10 coupons of the same thing at a time though. I have in the past used 20 at a time with no problem.

I haven't seen one of those in a long time but from what I can remember you can choose when to take it off. It should be attached to your card. That's how it was done when I received a percentage off.

Blinkies in our area say DND and they won't double. Some coupons may say DND but start with a 5 and double anyway, and some may not say DND but they start with a 9 and will not double. Like the dial coupons. They will not double.

It is a manufacturer coupon, but it beeps. Since it says DND, the coupon may not be doubled with a manual override. It is a YMMV situation.

Today was just a bad day for me trying to use coupons. First Walgreens was out of everything that I wanted then the Kroger ground beef deal, so I was bummed and just quit couponing for the day.

On my way home I did get a FREE car wash at our local gas station which is giving free car washes all day!

Or you can always go log into your accounts on those websites and see if the coupon is still there or not.

I get an email from shortcuts after I use a coupon. It also shows on your receipt as ecoupon. You can also log into your accounts at the e coupon sites to see what has been redeemed.

NOt sure as far as region, but if you go to the website and put in mansfield zip code, it will pop up which ad is theirs. As for the doubling, they double 50c and under up to a dollar. Over 50c will double but only to the dollar amount. So for example, the tuna coupon everyone is talking about is 55c/1. That will double to 99c which is the price of the tuna before the mega sale discount. (it won't double for over the price of the item). I have coupons for 75c off and they double up to a dollar. 35c off dial soap doubles to 70c. The overage comes from getting the $4 mega sale discount off your total. So if I bought 8 tuna, my coupons come off making it free, but then I get the $4 because I have 8 items. I would need to have something else in my order though to eat up the $4 or I don't get it. SO , I would buy for example my lysol cleaning supplies at a buck ea after coupon to eat the overage (I would need 8 though to get the mega price). Don't forget to buy in multiples of 8. If not, you don't get the mega sale price. So 8 items, 16 items, etc.. 8, 16, 24, 32. I hope that helps. Tried to break it down simply since you do not shop Krogers. Yep, you got it. But your $8 overage (if you are lucky enough to get that many tuna at a time LOL) will eat up your balance after your coupons on the Kellogs. Another tip: Make sure you have a couple back up items in mind or take a few extra coupons with you. It never fails that something you are wanting will be out and because you have to multiples of 8 to get the sale price, you want to know what you can grab cheap or something you can grab that you really want/need. DH was using the 79c 2 liters as his backup plan. LOL We want to start building our stockpile of these and for us this is a pretty decent price so anytime something is out or he can only get a few of he uses those to help fill in.
