I just saw the sign this weekend behind the very-pretty-but-tired-of-waiting-for-it Walgreens that has been under construction for over a year. It's at the corner of Davis Dr and Morrisville Carpenter Dr.

The store looks beautiful and complete from the outside FINALLY, but I haven't seen any Grand Opening signs yet.

I have never been to Bloom before but I am sure that there will be some great competition deals between them and Harris Teeter. =)

I keep hoping to see a grand opening sign when I drive by, but no luck. The parking lot is done and looks like the store is done, but did notice that they haven't put the Bloom sign on the building. Hope that doesn't mean anything.

 I copied this off of Bloom's Facebook page. . .

I wonder what is happening. The store looks like its been complete for a while, but is just sitting there. I wonder if the economy caused their plans to change.:hectic1:

We live across Davis Drive in Twin Lakes.
From what we gather, Bloom probably will not open at all. There was a sign indicating the coming of Bloom at the entrance of the strip mall. It has been removed. It would be great to have them here but I think that they have reconsidered. It would be great to have another Trader Joe's take the spot. The new one in Raleigh is always packed as well as the one in Cary.
Sorry about the news.

I live and work in Mo'ville and have been watching out for bloom to come in the past few months. I would imagine that what happened to Walgreens is what happened to Bloom as well. Walgreens was not allowed to open until proper traffic obligations were met along Davis Dr. If the town placed such traffic and other such requirements on Bloom, also given how long it took to complete the Davis Dr. road widening from Morrisville-Carpenter to RTP, it probably affected Blooms schedule to open and thus they may have pulled out in open business at the site. Just my humble opinion.

That's strange, there is another one semi started (for months, nothing happening) in Cary on Walnut St near Ten Ten crossroad. I'm wondering if the economy has anything to do with it?
To consider they have the one in M'ville almost completed, another one started months ago and left to sit there in Cary - something has to be going on with Corporate.
Things that make you go hmmmmm......

There is another one that is supposed to open in Cary too. On O'Kelly Chapel Rd. west of NC-55 but before the Chatham County line, there is a big lot with a sign that says Future Home of Bloom. But no construction has started. Who knows what will happen to these supposed Bloom grocery stores...

Was driving in the area today and they have taken the bloom sign down and replaced it with a food lion sign.
