This is just me, being curious at to how many members we have that shop regularly at Brookshires. I'm just trying to help liven up some of our quieter forums.

So come on in and say hey! http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/images/smilies/girl%20wave%20hi.gif Tell us as much or as little as you'd like about the following questions, or make up some more questions to get the conversation rolling.

Which location(s) do you shop at?

What's your favorite thing about shopping at Brookshires?

What's your least favorite thing?

Favorite deal ever at Brookshires?

etc...

I shop at two of my local stores. Brandon and Ridgeland, Mississippi.

I've been shopping there a LOT lately b/c they've been tripling coupons up to & including 60 cents. It's been going on for at least seven weeks now. Every week, I hold my breath waiting to see if they'll continue...

They are always friendly and supportive of my couponing. And they have a baby club and a kids club that send out really great coupons. Once a quarter, I get a roll of film developed free. I just got a free 20 pack of Mission fajita size tortillas and a free 6 pack of Pediasure from those clubs.

Two things I don't like: 1)They are insistant on taking my buggy out for me. I'd prefer to do it myself, but no biggie. 2)The checkouts are set up kinda funny. They want you to go right while your buggy goes left, but at least one of my kids is in there! LOL!

I probably won't shop there very much when the tripling stops. I think their prices are generally higher than Kroger.

Hello Amber here, I shop at the Robinson Texas location, I love our Brookeshires because the people are so nice. I like it also because it is small enough that when I go in with my kids I can get in and out in no time, unlike shopping at WalMart or HEB. I don't really have a least favorite thing about it, except I wish they would double and triple more often. I am also not sure of what my best deal has been because I just started using coupons.

I shop during the moonlight madness and when they double/triple IF there is a deal. The problem is they only multiply one LIKE coupon and their prices are higher than other stores that multiply 3-4 like coupons.

Hey! Erika here from Forney, TX. No doubles or triples here unless once in a blue moon. They only double up to 50 cents and triple to 39 cents. My favorite store is Kaufman, Tx. I love their sales but usually only shop the sales, never my big shopping trip. I also love their meat, it is so fresh! Some of my best deals have been on cereal a few years ago when it would go on sale for 99 cents and I would have a $1 off 2. This week they have their Garnier Fructis hair products 2/$4, w/ a $1 off 1 coupon you only pay $1. Good deal!

I shop at the Brookshire's in Midlothian, TX. It's only about five minutes from my house, so I'd love to find ways to save more money there. I'll have to start paying attention, now that I'm going to do the coupon thing, to see when/if they double or triple coupons. And what is this moonlight madness of which you speak? Clearly I need to pay more attention!

I shopped at the Ridgeland, MS store today. Brieclark is right. they will run ou over and refuse to take no for an answer to take out your groceries. However, it was a good first run to use my coupons.I haven't done it in years and got discouraged then and gave up.They are tripling coupons and the manager volunteered the info today that it is going to be going on for a long time.

I feel really bad though because I spent hours ignoring my family and staying up late to try to save money, comparing ads and clipping coupons. I spent way more than I would normally spend. Plus everything is sugary of full of fat!!!Any advice ladies?

Hi all,

I am new here and live in a small Texas town that just has a Brookshire's and Walmart. I check out the weekly Brookshire ad and tend to only buy sale items there, I often find better meat prices there.

Thought I'd say hello to everyone. I am just now getting back into coupons since I just found out about the ways to get good deals at the CVS here.

Not sure if the one here doubles or triples, I will have to call and ask.

Thanks for having me,

Corsicana, TX

I can find good deals when they are having a midnight madness sale or when they are doing the double/triple coupons other than that their prices are a little bit higher than other stores.

Glad to see there is another Corsicana couponer on here though. It is a small town and I thought I was the only one. :)

I shop at the Brookshire's in Rockwall Texas. I usually only shop thre for good deals, like moonlight madness or when the advertise double and triple coupons. The best deal I found was this summer when they had the powerade on sale, and I had coupons that made them free. I just now finished drinking all of them. My store is very friendly, and they will offer to get more out of the stock room if they run low on merchandise, and they refuse to let me carry out my own groceries.

Welcome liwright! I used to work at the Brookshires in Rockwall, TX in college. I haven't been there in years but even back then they were very friendly. There is just so much competition in Rockwall with the Walmart being around the corner and the Kroger Signature that they have to do something to set themselves apart. I have been 8 months pregnant with 4 others in tow and a Kroger employee asked me if I wanted my $100 worth of groceries taken out.....

Hello, all. We just relocated to Camden, AR so I'm brand new to Brookshires, but the one in our town is much cleaner and seems to have fresher produce than our Kroger -- which I've been shopping at to get double coupons... Now that I know there's a chance I can get doubles there, too, I'm much more likely to go. (I've only been here 2 weeks, so I'm far from familiar with either store yet!)

Does anyone know if they have free cookies for kids at the bakery? DS was spoiled in our old city -- every time we'd go in Publix, he'd get a sprinkle cookie -- now when I say we're going to the grocery store, he keeps saying "sfrinkle cookie store"... DH and my mother have each bought a box of sprinkle cookies when we were out shopping. I refuse to do that every time... :giggle2:

I guess my best deal was $1.25 for philly cream cheese -- not great, but what can you expect when I've been there once and didn't have all my q's. :wink7:

Shreveport, La . I really like my store . The management is very nice and all the checkers are to. I have just started back couponing so I am not sure how they are about the couponing yet . I have run a few thru and had no problems . They double up to .50 cents so this is really a big savings alot of times . I know about a year ago they said they would only take so many coupons for one kind of item . Example : I could not have 8 bottles of ketchup and 8 coupons they would only 2 or three the manager said . That is how there system is set up is what he told me . This really gripes me because I will just have to make more trips . I hope they have changed that policy . Evrything else I am happy about .
