I had a cashier refuse to take the 2nd coupon for the nailsaver scrubbers, country hearth bread and fishsticks.
They were BOGO with CUB coupons and i had two man coupons and she didn't even TRY to scan them she just said no you can't use these because you are getting the second item for free.
I just took them back and went over to the customer service desk and asked if it was their policy to not accept 2 man q with a BOGO Cub.....and let them know my cashier refused to take them. They asked if they beeped and i said she didn't even scan them.
They gave me my $$ back.

I was worried that would happen but when I went the gal took them both.
I've got my own opinions about it not actually being b1g1, it's just actually 50% off wyb two!
But I wouldn't argue with them either...I'd do exactly what you did, go to customer service.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago with the Hormel Always tender - and it was the manager who said they couldn't take 2 coupons on a BOGO.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the way you used the Q's. Just another one of those "cashier interventions".:rolleyes24:
I'm glad that CS was able to see that it was correct. Heck...3 of the sponges I bought this week had $1.00 peelies on them. Didn't even have to break out my own Q's. Love it when that happens!
what a deal

Yesterday the CSM wouldn't accept 4 of my Catalina Qs in one transaction. I now always answer these pos denials with the magic phrase, "You're in charge, how could this work then?" The CSM called someone and then said, "Okay we could do separate orders, but then I would have to return all this and re-ring it all, so we'll just do it all at once".
One time this has not worked so I paid, went to CS and they took care of it afterwards.

It just seems like Cub is getting really stinky about coupons. It's really sad because they used to be the most coupon friendly place I shopped.

I agree with Estermo, I just wish there was some consistency I hate wondering if I'm going to get a hard time or not.

I soooo agree! They used to be my fave, but they are always giving me a hard time these days.

And the problem I have is that they're the only grocery store in Shakopee. Walmart is next closest.

Yeah - tonight I did two orders - one was a raincheck for 30 yogurt for $1 (I had $1 coupons), 5 of the ground pork, cheese, and onions.
They wouldn't take the coupons for the ground pork - I had $1.25 off Hormel Always Tender product - they said they could use that or the cub coupon but not both because it woudl make it .25 overage. And that was the manager (different one than I'd had problems with before)
The second order I didn't have a problem using the coupons. So it really does matter who you checkout with. And I used 6 catalinas with it. I know which cashier I'm going to go to when I see her working. :)
I wouldn't have even cared if they didn't give me overage - but to refuse them entirely????
Now I'm not sure if it's just the Shakopee Cub or not - I don't do a lot of shopping at other cubs - usually smaller orders.
