Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with coupons at the Shakopee Cub.
It seems like it started about three weeks ago, during the Kraft buy 10 get $5 off sale. I've had problems every time I use more then a couple of coupons. I've also had some coupon using friends tell me that the CSM refused to take their coupons.
I've had managers take copies of my receipt to the office, call someone higher on the food chain (only to be told to go ahead), and ask me while redeeming a raincheck, "Were we even out of this?". I was so embarrassed about it that I didn't go in the store for a week and a half. They keep implying that I am doing something wrong just because I know how to use coupons to the maximum benefit.
Just wondering if it is just me or if other people are having the same problems. It's to the point that I would rather drive over to Savage where they are friendly then go here in town which is less then a mile from my home. I can't afford the gas and it would cancel out the benefit of most of the coupons, but I don't want to feel awful everytime I use a coupon to help save money.
what a deal

On my last trip to Cub, the cashier told me that she couln't take the 99 cent Crystal Farms Butter coupon that was printed from the Cub website. I looked at her and repeated what she sad to me and I started laughing because it sounded so ridiculous! She mumbled never mind and ran all the Qs.
If I was the manager of Cub and I received a letter from a customer like your post, I would be embarrassed! Refusing coupons?! Preposterous!! I suggest you convey your concerns to the Cub general manager either in person or in writing.
If they ever asked me about a rain check, I would just shrug and repeat the question back to them. There should be a staff member's name on the rain check and they could ask that person, or ask the manager in charge that day from that shift. They gave you the rain check.
CSM means "customer service manager", right? If others also have problems with the CSM and let the GM know it, maybe something will change? Refused coupons? Can they even do that? What coupons were you using?

I haven't had any probs using q's at Shakopee Cub lately... In fact the CSM has checked me out a few times. There is only one gal who really questions my coupons so I just avoid her now.

I'm sorry you had that experience. I would definitely contact the GM or SuperValu. Intimidation by staff, including management should not be tolerated. Good luck!

Well - I think you're lucky. I've definitely had problems there. And the CSM will NOT allow 2 coupons on a BOGO either. 2 weeks ago when they had the coupons for the bogo pork chops - the cashier wouldn't take the $1.25 off ANY Always tender product because it wasn't pictured - called over the manager and she said I could only use 1 coupon for each 2 sets purchased.
However - I've never had them take my receipt and talk to higher ups about it. Sorry to hear that Esthermo

I did ask about the raincheck my reply was, "You can't get a raincheck unless you are out of the product right?" To this she replied that it was a month ago and she didn't remember if they had been out. Had I not been so worn about the subject and feeling more sassy I would have replied to her that not only were they out of the regular and mini ravioli a month ago, but they were still out of it and I had to get the over stuffed and micro versions (not get the micro btw, there isn't any meat in it).
I've thought about writing to Cub, but for some reason I always hate doing things like that. DS is a charmer and I'm pretty easy to recognize cause he is always with me. I don't want to get the rep of the complainer. Although I feel like I am getting to the point were they have labeled me the fraudulent coupon lady so I might as well be known as the lady who complains to corporate.
I did use the $.99 butter coupon late last night. I was worried about that, but there was a new cashier and she scanned it no problem. At least that went well. All I was getting though was the butter and two Golden Plump roaster chickens cause they were only $1 per lb.
