I realize that it's September, but I put this in the newsletter and totally forgot to put it in the proper forum!! :BigHand:
Name in real life: Ann
Age: 42
Home State: Georgia
Marital Status: Happily Married
Kids: Bonnie 27, Jeremy 14, Jerrica 11, Andrew 7.
Pets: 2 cats (Tiger & Carpet), 1 very spunky kitten (Katie aka Little Bit aka Cat!)
In Ann's Own Words:
Little Known Factoid:
Hi, I am very honored to be considered Mod of the Month. I love HCW and it is a very big part of my life. Thru the money saving skills I learn here I have been able to feed my family and others a lot of times for free or for very little.
I am a homeschool teacher of 3. I love the freedom to be able to teach my children and to watch them learn. We live in a country where we have this wonderful freedom, and I am very grateful.
I am a breast cancer survivor of 5 1/2 years. Yay!!! :BigHand: It is quite an experience that unfortunately a growing number of us have either experience personally or know someone who has. Surviving cancer, chemo, radiation, surgery & yes even attempted reconstruction has made us stronger in the long run and maybe more focused on what we can do to help others.
Favorite Money Saving Tip: Matched coupons with bogo or $10 for 10 sales will help to maximize your savings.
Stores I shop at: Kroger, Publix, Ingles, CVS,Target, Food Lion & Dollar General most often and in that order. I also shop at Rite Aid,Fred's occasionally.
Coupon Organization Method: Binders ( I don't leave home without them or my laptop) :giggle2:
I have a binder for cold foods, one for shelf items, one for non-food items. I also have a folder for Publix (since they accept competitor q's the Target & Kroger q's go in here too) I have a small folder also for CVS ecb's.
I use baseball card holders that I buy at Fred's to hold my precious q's.
Best Advice to Newbies:
You've already taken the best step by joined up with Hot Coupon World. This coupon forum has changed my life and that of so many others.
Please don't get discouraged. Take your time, read over the newbie links and read them again as needed. There is very valuable info all over the board that will help you not only with couponing, but health, family & finance issues, as well.
Don't feel bad about asking questions. This board is so incredible about helping each other. Members and Mods alike try to post the sales ad and matchup coupons to help you maximize your savings at no additional charge. Isn't that incredible. Free always sounds good to me.
You are now apart of a community of people who all have at least couponing in common. Members from all parts of the world. Whether you are just starting out and trying to learn how to coupon or you are an oldie and just love saving all those dollars.
One of my biggest joys in life is watching all those minus signs add up on my receipt. I love it when my receipt is longer than I am tall and is more minuses than pluses. :BigHand:
