I just bought some Old El Paso coupons on Ebay and was wondering if the Enchilada sauce is considered a "soup"? The fine print says that this coupon excludes soup among other things.

I wouldn't consider it a soup.. I dunno for sure though

This deal seems too good to be true! This would make the cereals/bars free after the fred meyer coupon... overage with man qs.
BC potatoes would be free after the $1/2 IP
Warm Delights would give you .05 overage with the .55 IP

I just bought some Old El Paso coupons on Ebay and was wondering if the Enchilada sauce is considered a "soup"? The fine print says that this coupon excludes soup among other things.

Totally not a soup! I've heard of tortilla soup, but never enchilada soup. If they tried to tell you it was a soup, it would be no different than telling you that taco seasoning is soup also.

Just so you don't have to look it up-the FM $4/4 coupon is good on the following:

7-8.9oz granola bars
11.25oz cookie crisp
11.7 oz cocoa puffs
12.8 oz cinnamon toast crunch
13 oz reese's peanut butter puffs
12.25 oz honey nut cheerios
9 oz mulit-grain cheerios
12.9 oz apple cinnamon cheerios

Which if any will work with the Albertsons deal remains to be seen.

If you have a TOP or Haggen (http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/other-grocery-stores/144873-top-haagen-8-6-8-12-a-2.html#post1142810)nearby, the GM sale might be a little better there. It's under the "other" grocery store section.

When it says 'mix or match all price points' what do they mean? How would that work?

diva_dynamite
09-02-2008, 08:47:04 PM
It means that you don't have to buy 10 items all from the same category - you can buy a couple 10/$10 items, a couple of 10/$25, etc.

Matchups are done for the first part that melodyjg typed up. The new ad just popped up for me online, so I'll add what I can before bedtime.

You can if you have the 50c/1 tear pad Qs. Fred Meyer had some b4g1 free tearpads.

Are you sure about those start numbers? If so, the $1.50 cereal deal breaks down like this:

O.k., but does your Albie's let you use more than one F.M. cpn even if it says 1 per transaction?

Mine doesn't usually let us do that.

I will have to split up the use of my $4.00 ones-but so wish I could get $5.10 off-that's a whole bunch more stuff-or a pkg of meat-or, or-geez,come to think of it I don't think I have spent that much on any SINGLE item in a while-usually I can get a cartload for $5.10-that's actually a lot of $$$ when combined w/HCW super coupon deals !!!!:hysterical18:

No where on the FM coupons do they state one per transaction. They say one per purchase of 4. (limit 4) My Albies reads these as you can't use more than one $4/4 coupon for the same 4 boxes purchased. Also, all of my Albies stores regardless of the competitor will allow 10 coupons to be used per transaction because they take longer to manually input. (but manf. coupons are NOT limited)

This deal isn't going to be as good as I thought. I was hoping to get some free non-suggary cereal. :frown:

Based on what I see on the Albertsons online shopping for the portland area, I believe these are included AND part of the FM deal
nature valley granola bars
chex mix bars
fiber one granola bars
11.25oz cookie crisp
12.8 oz cinnamon toast crunch
13 oz reese's peanut butter puffs

These are on the FM coupon, but aparently not part of the Albies deal. :frown:
11.7 oz cocoa puffs
12.25 oz honey nut cheerios
9 oz mulit-grain cheerios
12.9 oz apple cinnamon cheerios
curves bars (box is smaller than the 7-8.9 oz specified on coupon)

I have not verified any of this information in the store, so it could all be wrong but is likely mostly correct. When everyone goes to the store, if you can double check this I will be happy to update and fix it.

I found this new IP on bettycrocker's website

$1/2 any Old El Paso products (exc. refridgerated, frozen or soups)
Coupons from Betty Crocker (http://www.bettycrocker.com/coupons-promotions/coupons/default.aspx?WT.ac=homepage-Left-07-01-08-hhcoupon)

I don't see this in the DB or in the coupon matchup's. $.50 for name brand refried beans is a fantastic price!!! (esp. if you have any overage to soak up!)

Rep me if this helps!

okay here is some of what i am planning, correct me, please:biggrin:, if something is wrong. i will have to do a few transactions, but i am within walking distance to Albies.

4 pills. cresent rolls = $8
4 pills. sweet rolls = $8
2 warm delights = $3
Total due = $19
- $5 instant savings
- $4 (4 $1/1 cresent roll q's)
- $4 (4 $1/1 sweet roll q's)
- $1.10 (2 $0.55/1 warm delights q's)
- $2 (safeway doubler - 4 q's up to $0.50/each)
= OOP $2.90

6 Chex Mix = $12 (my fiance has been asking for these)
4 Fiber One bars = $8
Total due = $20
- $5
- $3.20 (2 $0.60/1 chex, 4 $0.50/1 chex)
- $2.20 (2 $0.60/1 fiber one,2 $0.50/1 f.o.)
- $2 (safeway doubler)
- $4 (fm $4/4 gm f.o.)
= OOP $3.60

Lets see I also have several of the $1/2 of whatever that brand of taco shells, enchilada sauce, and refried beans are included in the sale. we have mexican food here at least 1x/week.:BigHand:
10 Old Paso(???) items = $15 (are they all in the $1.50/pc catagory?)
- $5
- $5 (10 $1/2 q's)
- $2 (safeway doubler)
= OOP $3.00

SO, now i am at 30 items (a lot of which are on my need list a lot anyway) for an OOP cost of $9.50!!! and of course i will pick up some more free tp! woohoo, i am excited about this sale. that's good for me. the only other 'instant savings' deal i have been able to use was the $2/$10 of yoplait, where i got 5 4pacs of yo-plus for $1.

If you did get the .99 Q's in your ad for the cheese and the salsa, watch very closely. They have to put it in twice for both items (If you get to cheeses, they need to use the coupon twice for the promo to take the $2 off each cheese, same with the salsa). Just a heads up.

You don't need to split the orders up. I purchased 20 items today with no problems. I was very organized with my Q's in order to make the transaction go smoothly. I used the SCO lane. I scanned all my internet q's, then handed the q's to be doubled to the cashier. Piece of cake!!

I did go back and read the cpn again and I noticed it also said "when you buy 4-Your first $4.00- with this coupon- additional at everyday low price".
I thought that meant one per transaction of 4 items/per first $4.00 spent on the cpn and if we purchased more than that amt it would be the everyday price. How I understand what you are saying is that multiples of these can be used as long as they are different groups of 4-say;
4 boxes of fiber one
4 boxes of nature valley
4 boxes of reg. cheerios X 3 FM cpns-
Is that right?
What if I got 3 groups of nature valley-but each group of four was a different type of Nature Valley-does that work, too?
I did ask the store mgr of our Freddies and he explained the use of the cpn to me as I mentioned above, but using your method-I think I could have a pretty strong argument-as long as they are not stuck on the "your first $4.00" part anyway-argh-why can't it just be a bit easier-for simpletons like myself.:frown:]

I am new to the whole couponing world (and am learning it is, in fact, an entire world.... endless rules, etc!), but just had an awesome experience at the local Albertson's. I had to make a few trips, just to keep my head straight, but ended up paying $5.10 for 117 boxes of cereal and granola bars (a variety of the less- sugary 10 for $15), one pillsbury crescent rolls and 2 packs of Yo+ yogurt.

I made 3 trips, and used a whole bunch of the freddy's $4/4 general mills cereals/ granola bars, in addition to a manufacturer's coupon for each of the items, and a few safeway doublers tossed in.

FYI, My albie's took that Fred Meyers coupon to mean ALL GM cereals and granola bars (I convinced the manager that the list on the coupon wasn't complete because it had no granola bars in it, but the pic showed granola bars, and the title had granola bars), so I was only limited by the ones on the albertson's sale list.

So a couple questions: Is it insanity to purchase so many when there is a good deal, or am I the only one who would do this?
Does albertson's normally accept Safeway doublers? I have heard that that is not typical.
Is there a policy on the number of coupons they will take?
I was negative for several of the purchases, and the cashier just adjusted the amount of the last couon to make it zero out.... am I allowed to add in other items instead to use up that negative amount?

TIA! And I apologize if these are dumb questions.... I just got so excited about this. I think it might be addicting.

I have a question too. I found in Lee's Marketplace ad an Associated Foods q that says: $4.00 off wyb Any 10 participating Gneral Mills products for $15 in one shopping visit between 9/8/08-9/16/08. Since I've been told Albies takes competitor q's, any way I can tie this one in?

Oh yes, it is addictive! Do you have a food bank in your town? They can always use extras. I always take extras there. I had a kiddo in summer school lose everything in a fire. I fixed a couple boxes with food, razors, deod, shampoo, etc. Gpa held the razor and cried. THAT is exactly why I always get what I can, when I can and where my extras go.

It's here in Utah, and another store in my town. It's called Lee's, but I guess they are owned by Associated Foods, or something, as that's what it says on their q's and other stuff.

Albies in Utah will take coupons from your Associated Foods ad. Does it say it is a manufacturer's coupon or a store coupon? If it is a manufacturer's coupon, you can use as many of them as you want. If it is a store coupon, they will take one. HTH

It's a manfuactuer q it says. I wasn't sure also, since it mentions on "10 participating items" and since those items would be different per each store, if it had to be only that store. Also, that q wouldn't be stackable would it, because it would apply the $4 to ten of the items, and then I wouldn't be able to use another mfg q on any of those ten items. Is that right? Maybe it's not as good as I thought!

I guess if it is a manufacturer's coupon and is $4 off 10 then no you would not be able to use it with other coupons. If you are out of coupons for the cereal and needed more, it would be a decent coupon since it would take .40 off per box, and the others were taking .50 off. Better than the $1 on 3 that came out in the inserts yesterday.

That is just what I was thinking about doing. I guess with the economy, there haven't been as many donations as usual. That is a good idea about the other products, too. I usually just clip for products I use, no I will clip for others too and if I can get em free or close to, might as well, then donate. Thanks for the tip!

I have only found really good deals on cereal and granola bars so far, but I can't wait to try with shampoo and razors, etc....

For some reason I can't print the chex coupon? can anyone else? It just sits there saying "Please Wait".......

Is anyone ordering coupons for this deal? I'm trying to decide if it's a stock up deal on the cereal?

Sometimes I have trouble w/bricks or other printable links while using firefox, but if I switch to internet explorer they print just fine. HTH.
I just had this happen for the quaker instant oatmeal for next weeks sale. Firefox just said please wait, but when I switched to IE, I was able to print 10.
