Food Max and Food 4 less the same?

Are Food Max and Food 4 Less the same store?? In my town they used to be Food 4 less and now they are Food maxx.. anyone have any idea?

Hi! It's my understanding that FoodMaxx is owned by Lucky (Albertson's). I don't think Food4Less is owned by the same corporation. Hope that helps!

Food 4 Less and Foods Co. are chains of food and pharmacy warehouse stores (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warehouse_store). Both are owned by the Kroger Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kroger).
Food 4 Less Stores owned by Kroger operate in California (Los Angeles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles,_California) and south), Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, and Nevada. Foods Co Stores operate in California north of Los Angeles. In markets that Kroger does not have the rights to the Food 4 Less name, it operates as Foods Co.
