Thanks for humouring a newbie - I've learned so much from you all so far but have a few questions ...
- are the Avenu deals available for the entire duration stated, or is it a one time use thing? (ie. if i do one trans that uses that offer, does it 'disappear' off of my list for a 2nd trans a few minutes later? or is it there for 'unlimited' uses until the time is up?)
- how does it show on the receipt? (so i can be sure it took it off.)
- what do you do if it doesn't take it off? do you take a printout and then go to CS for reimbursment?
- i can stack MFCs with the Avenu offers, right?
I think that's it. Thanks again for humouring a newbie!

I'm not an expert, but I'll try to answer these questions.
Deals are available for the entire duration unless they say "limit x per family"--I think then they disappear when you use them, even if the time duration hasn't passed.
Savings show up as "avenu savings" so it's easy to check. You can stack avenu savings with MFCs; I don't know if you can get overage because I've never tried.
I've never had a problem with avenu offers not being taken off, but I'd think you could get it fixed at CS.

Remember, there are two types of deals in Avenu. A set of daily specials and a set of weekly electronic coupons. Unless you extend the daily specials (link on left hand side of Avenu page) they change each day at midnight.
On my last receipt the savings showed up as:
AM avenu edys grand 2.00-F
for each item I bought that matched the special.
Yes, you can get overage when you stack the Avenu savings and a mfg Q (and make sure to tell us all when you do so we can watch out for that deal too!!)
You can also have an Avenu deal disappear in the middle of the timeframe its supposed to be good for. I had that happen with one of the SB deals last week. I finally read the fine print at the bottom of the Avenu page and it does say they reserve the right to remove deals due to limits, etc, etc. So, if you find a good deal, make sure to print it out. My local store knew nothing about the Avenu system even though it works there. When I had the problem last week, of course I had not print out, they had no clue and I got no discount. :frown:

thanks for the help!
i used it today without a hitch (ok, one hitch but that's b/c i read the size of the baby cereal packaging wrong)
i bought:
12 gerber stage 2 organic baby foods on sale @ 4/$5=$15
used 6 $1/2 MFC's -$6
avenu $1/3 -$4
total OOP = $5 for 12 organic foods.
pretty good for a newbie, i think.
thanks for the help!

On the Acme site it has a link to participating stores, my store isn't listed, but when I put my card in it shows the offers, will it still work?

Maybe, maybe not. My local store isn't on the list either, but the Avenu savings do work there. The list is obviously very out of date. The only way to find out for sure is to try it out.
Your card isn't linked to any particular store, so that doesn't affect whether you get offers on the Acme site. I get offers regularly for products my local store doesn't even carry.

As for the how often questioned, I believe it is a limit per transaction. I've gone in several times in one day and bought the limit for an item.

Ok, I tried it out. In my avenu was a deal for $2 off Contessa Meal, they were on sale for $5.99 and I loved the shrimp primavera and gave it a shot, sure enough it took $2 off.
