Ok I shopped about 2 weeks ago at my local Cub foods .I used a lot of q's both Ip and from the newspaper.
No problem .
Today I went to get a few items .Some of the items I wanted were gone so I got 1 box of cereal .I had the JUst bunches q for 2.00 off 1 box .
I head to checkout and only had grapes and the cereal .
I hand the lady the q and she is like "did you get this from the internet "?
I said yes I got it from the cereal web site
She is like well we have to get these approved I was like what ????
I said I have been here before and used q's from the internet no problem .
She said well there is fraud and we have to get them approved .
Now like I said I only had one
I cannot imagine what it would be like if I had 20 ?
Is this a new policy ?If so I might not go to them anymore .
Later I was at Walmart and they checker was like WOW oh wow you cut your bill in half like really in half .
I also went to Target ,and Krogers with no problem .

I too had similar problems tonight. I felt like I was being interrogated. And I didn't have that many internet prints. The South Beach Pizza ones, and the one for $6 off pork wyb Kingsford, KC masterpiece, and one other thing.
The manager brought a big book of fake internet coupons to check and make sure the ones I was using weren't on the list.
I now dread getting my rain check on pizza rolls with the $1 off coupons. But of course I'm going to try it.
But the interesting thing is that they went over ALL of my coupons with a fine tooth comb - and most of them were newspaper ones.
And - the coupon in the paper for buy 2 24 packs of pepsi get 12 pack free - interestingly enough didn't take off 2.75 for the 12 pack - instead added .55. If I hadn't been watching I wouldn't have noticed.

This has happened to me a number of times. Seems like it happens more during the day as the cashiers are vigilant about fraudulent coupons. The ones I got questioned on were Honey Bunches of Oats and Totino Pizza Rolls. The cashier called the CSM and the CSM approved them but took it back to the Customer Service Desk to check it out. I think we are going to see this more due to the fraudulent coupons out there. They have to check them so they are not stuck with the cost. It's a pain for those of us following the rules, but in the end, it will be the best for everyone.

Yep - same old story - few bad ones spoil it for everyone. I think that they must have really lectured the cashiers about it (and I had a younger cashier) - on the regular insert coupons - she says to the manager - I can't take this right because it's not in the picture. :) The manager just smiled at me and said - no you can take it - you read the words - it says off any variety.

I too have had them pull out the "big book of fakes", but it was a long time ago. I don't use too many IPs. I know there have been a lot of problems with people using pdf coupons and printing as many as they want. The MF starts out with a coupons and then goes back on reimbusing for it, ie juicy juice last year. It can make it hard for those of use who are careful to only use real IPs because sometimes the game can chance and our legit coupon and soon become a fake. I know this is the case with coupons found on facebook last weekend too. They were legit when they were printed, but by mid-week they were no longer going to reimburse stores for them, very sad.

...
Did you get to use the $6 one??????
I wonder about that discussion of the printables from myspace (or something, i don't remember) that the values were so high...maybe Cub got burned with it.
If they need the food and don't want to pay for it I wish they'd just steal it, not using coupons and quit making it harder for us couponers.

If you're not sure about using a coupon just ask at the front desk first.
You're not doing anything wrong.

Yes I was able to use the $6 one - I needed the charcoal and it was 6.98 - so it made me happy to get a decent deal on it.

Thanks for that tip - might save some hassles at the checkout. I know I only print the limits - but I know that a few people copy them or manipulate their computers to print more.
What frustrates me is when I know I've not printed it and the computer says I have. :(

If they're actually looking up each coupon that could take precious time that will melt icecream! That's what would make me mad. I don't blame them for trying to find out if they're ligit or not.
Because of the heat, lately I've been throwing in a few of those frozen cooler blocks into my shopping bags. And then the whole shopping bag goes into a big jenny craig styrofoam box in the car.

Cub Midway stopped accepting internet coupons a couple of years ago, too much fraud. The only ones they'll accept are ones that have the Cub name on them.
Seems the franchise stores may have a different policy. Might depend on the franchise or manager at those stores.
what a deal

Yesterday at Cub the cashier did not want to take my IP for 60 CO NV granola Bars. She showed me a printed, laminated memo at the checkout instructing cashiers (in very vague language) to not accept "copies of our coupons". She let me use the IP after I asked her about who "our" was supposed to be - CUB, SS, Coupon.com, or..?
