Case Lot Sale starts 9/4/08

Smith's is posting signs in my store saying they are having a case lot sale starting September 4th. Is there any way to find out what is included in this huge sale?

Jen,

In the past, case lot sales include lots of Kroger brand can goods, honey, oatmeal, peanut butter, as well as some great prices on Hormel Chili, Chef Boyardee or is it Spaghetti-Os, Campbell soups, tuna, and more. Some stores require case purcahses, while others allow you to buy 1 item and get the great per item price.

Last time my store made me buy it by the case which totally sucked as I could not use coupons.

I think I will ask corp to see what thier policy is.

So they sell the case as 1 item, making it impossible to use Q's for the purchase? I hope that's not the case! (no pun intended).

Yes that is how my store did the caselot sale last time, that you could only buy it by the case and could not use coupons on it (except the in-ad coupons like for Hormel Chili) although in the past this was not the case. I have contacted Smith's via email to see what thier policy is they have said that they will forward my email to the folks that handle thier coupon policy...will let you know if and what I hear from them.

They have swamped our Smiths with cases,you can't even get around the back of the store. Be glad when the case sale is over.
