Hope some of you will share your scenarios when the ad is posted, I didn't see many to get excited about in the ad...but, there may be regular priced stuff that might be really cheap or free using a coupon that triples. :)

It figures I go out of town and there is news of triples, lol. I won't be back until Saturday so if anyone has the ad (in hand so as not to tick off the Ingles powers that be) go ahead and start posting highlights!

I'm so bummed I won't be able to get my coupons organized ahead of time. Sigh, now I know what I'll be doing tomorrow night!

Three coupons tripled with each $10 order with card. Six tripled with $20 order, nine tripled with $30 order, twelve tripled with $40 order, etc. No limit on the number of coupons that can be tripled as long as there is a $10 purchase with card before coupons with each 3 coupons tripled. Coupons of 50 cents or less will be tripled, 51 cent coupons or more will not be tripled, but will be honored at face value.

Coupons will not be tripled or doubled on tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, free items, or ingles coupons. Tripled value cannot exceed the price of the item. Tripled coupons statt with each $10 purchase on the card.

In my experience they will run all the coupons thru and they will double as normal thru the computer. After the cashier rings up all the coupons they will then go and hand enter the value of each coupon (which triples the face value).

Sorry if this is a stupid post but I need to understand so I can organize my shopping for the week.

A .50 coupon is worth 1.50 but a .55 coupon is just worth .55. So the only good coupons to use are less than or equal to .50?

Also, look for any Free coupons (even if you wouldn't normally buy the product) to help get your total $$ up. Last time there were Qs for free dog treats that I used to get my total order up and I gave them to my neighbor (I don't have a dog), thus allowing me to get more Q's tripled.

If Honey Nut Cheerios is included in the GM Cereals 3/$6 deal there is a $.50/1 6/15 SS = $.50/box AC

Other than that, I don't see too much, if anything else, from the ad. Maybe others will see things in the store that when tripled will be worth the trip.

i think alot of the cleaning products are still a good deal, even if not on sale, like the mr.clean erasers and pourable. many of the lysol products,too. At 1.50 off i stock up.

Be careful to make sure the cashier triples the coupons manually! I did not know I had to do this and last night I made a quick trip. Used 6 coupons that would have tripled but only got doubles for them. Of course I realize too now that I didn't have $20 worth of stuff so only the 1st 3 would have tripled anyway. The cashier used some cats that were laying there and that really made up for it so I'm not going back or anything. I just will plan more carefully for my next trips and make sure he does the triple thing!
BTW, I do think it's not cool of them that it doesn't happen automatically. If they are going to advertise triples I don't understand why the computers are not programmd that way. It almost seems they are hoping that some customers will just not realize that they have to ask for it so won't get the triples deal.

Does anybody know how it works during 'triples' when you have rainchecks ?? :shrug7:
I'm assuming that you would still be able to use them AND the coupons. Might be the best time to use some of those rainchecks to either get the totals UP or to get the coupons tripled for items that were on sale at better prices than they are now.

This wouldn't work because it's your card that allows the coupons to double. One time I was at Ingles (not during a triple) and my total was way higher than I expected. Turns out the girl didn't scan my card! She then tried to scan it, but it didn't effect my coupon totals and we had to start the whole transaction over.

About 3 or 4 times a year, maybe. The next one, if they hold true to form, should be just before or jsut after thanksgiving. I think last year was just after.
