I have had several people PM me wanting a copy of the email so I am just going to post it here and X out my name.

I have seen other similar emails that were copied on here so I am assuming its ok. If not, then can one of the mods delete it? THanks.

I wish I had this earlier when I went to CVS, because the cashier said that I couldn't do that because it would be like getting them free. So I will be calling CS tomorrow and having them contact the store so that I don't have that issue again. The kid was really snotty with me about it too, which is what really irritates me.

apparently it happens a lot. It happened to me too but i didn't know any better and I just let it go. Now i will have the email printed and I will show the cashier. lol

The guy at the register tonight had the nerve to tell me that I was cheating CVS out of money by using the bogo coupons for the loreal with the bogo sale. And in front of other customers mind you. He said that what I was doing was dirty! OMG! He's sooo lucky I have laryngitis and couldn't exactly answer him. Its not the first time he's rude to me. The first time I let it go, but as soon as I get my voice back I will be calling corporate. That was so out of line. Even with his sarcastic and rude remarks he still let me use my coupons though, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

I would tell them it does have a reference number at the bottom, they can research it for validation if they wish. I'm sure they can also track down "Jamie L" if they wanted to.


I collect print-outs such as this for all the stores I shop at. I keep them in my binder under the Policies and Procedures section. I cannot count the number of times I've had to educate managers or employees regarding their store policy. :rolleyes24:

I went to my CVS tonight in Ohio. I had 2 of the BOGO of vive and I paid .63 cents :) I am new to this and I am on so pumped now!! This site is great! I also saved $110 at Kroger!!!

Yeah, it would be best to write to CVS yourself. They always answer within 24 hours. Would be good to have for all the BOGO's coming up. And now that I have mine, NOBODY has told me I can't use BOGO w/ BOGO. I'm kinda mad...lol...now that I have proof, I can't use it. :giggle2:

I emailed CVS yesterday afternoon and it's now been 36 hours and all I got was an automated message telling me my email was received and I'd hear back in 24 hours, they lied.......LOL

I haven't had a problem using the bogo, but of course I went to a store I NEVER have problems at. I was thinking of buying some lifesavers coupons, but since they don't really work, I'd like to atleast have the bogo email with me if they argue that the reason the coupon doesn't work is because you can't get 2 free.

I read either here or on another board about someone who had the email and was denied anyway.

It took 3-4 days to hear back when I wrote last week.

I had the email and was denied. Shift manager said she would contact her supervisor and get back to me. That was on Sunday and I have not heard anything from her yet.:frown:

I sent in an email about my recent experience and did not get the expected answer. Curious to see what is said during my phone call. The BOGO with BOGO was very vague. Think I can pin them down in writing???

Thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy regarding the use of coupons. I am able to help you with this.

Please accept my apology for the inability to use your coupon at the store. I have contacted Sxxxx Mxxxxxxx, District Manager, and made him aware of your comments. He will address your concerns with the Store Manager & Staff to correct this from recurring. I would like to have him to contact you directly. Can you please provide me with your telephone number? Once I have this information I will request that he contact you within the next 48 business hours.

Our coupon policy is as follows:



The coupon expiration date must be valid.




You can combine one manufacturer and one CVS coupon per one item.




If you have a coupon that says one per transaction and you have four coupons then you must conduct that transaction four times.




A limit of one per transaction means you can only use that coupon for one purchase.




If you make a purchase that has a buy one get one free item and you have two coupons then all coupons may be redeemed as long as the total value of the coupons does not exceed the pre-tax total of the purchase. If the store is offering a buy one get one free sale and you have a buy one get one free coupon then the manager will have to handle the transaction.




If you have a coupon that has a greater value than the value of the product the coupon will be accepted and adjusted for the purchase price.




CVS policy allows for the acceptance of all Internet/Email coupons, provided that the coupon features either a valid, scannable barcode, or a valid, scannable barcode, or a valid 5-digit coupon code that can be manually keyed at the register.

It's amazin' how brave we get when we have that little letter! I had one store that gave the slighest hint of hesitation. I felt like I was in an old western movie showdown. I had one hand holding coupons & one hand in my coupon pouch ready to pull 'er out!

This happened to me once. I was choosing a question from those "pull-down" menu's, but I chose 3 different ones when you're only supposed to choose one. There's one for "store,", "CVS.com" & "Pharmacy" comments. Maybe that's what you did? I just started choosing options & the bugger wouldn't go through for nothin.' LOL! Took me awhile to see what I did. I don't like to read instructions. :giggle2: Obviously...

:shrug7:My local CVS Pharmacy refuses to accept BOGO coupons for a BOGO sale. They say they were told they could not by the district manager. I am really bummed that I can't do these awesome deals that everyone else is doing.

I called CVS CS and was told by Jessica that if the are BOGO on sale and I have a coupon I can not combine them I would have to purchase 2 and get 2 free?????

Right. I copied, saved & printed the OP's email. My local (walking distance) store mgr told me I LIED and was trying to commit coupon FRAUD!!!! Needless to say he would NOT take the BOBO q on a BOGO ad item.

I think next time I will INSIST he call the police & have me arrested for fraud if he refuses the q. Then I will sue him personally and CVS corp for lack of training of their staff. then I should be able to retire several years ahead of my schedule.

I was told by Jessie at CS that yes you can use a bogo q and a bogo sale and get both items for free.

Here is the letter I got from CVS customer service.

Thank you for contacting the CVS/pharmacy website. I am in receipt of your e-mail regarding the 5 manufacturer coupons for the Vive Shampoo and Conditioner. I would visit your local CVS/pharmacy store and request to speak to the manager, the manager does reserve the right to limit the amount of coupon that can be used.

I got a diffrent e-mail about the vive pro...They said I can use the b1g1 coupon on a b1g1 sale and get both items for free.

Can you post the email so that it can be printed? I have never had issues with this before, but it happened yesterday, I also emailed CS.

I also had issues with this deal and using the $1q on the all b1g1f. I was using 2 q's for 2 bottles of all and they said no only 1. I emailed cs and am anxiously awaiting my reply. I have never had trouble before.
