So tonight I went to my Albertsons, where I've never had a deal go wrong. The cashier starts ringing me up and asks if I am planning on the Batman movie ticket deal. I said yes and she said I had to have all items of the same price point. Meaning all 1.99 items or all 1.49 items. I told her it doesn't say that, it says ANY 10 GM products. 3 other people said that is true and the tickets won't print otherwise (I had 6 boxes cereal at 1.99, 4 bags chex mix at 1.49). I said fine and just got 10 boxes of cereal. Lo and behold the tickets still don't print. So now I am wondering if they were just making something up.

Hmmm I bought about 5 diffrent things and mine printed without a problem. So I think they are full of it.

I did four different things and the cat printed. I'm thinking their machine wasn't working right. Call Catalina.

she was 100% wrong....any 10 items, any way you want them, and cost.

I Went and took my daughter and her friend with me last Sauturday we all did different transaction and we mixed and matched both the $1.49 and the $1.99 and we got codes for free movie the kids already used them that night to go to Hell boy ..I think they just make up there own rules to act like they are in charge not you ..sorry that happened to you but they at totally WRONG You are RIGHT

Ok that really irritates me. I have never had them make up rules before.

I think sometimes they are just trying to explain the craziness of the CAT machine - it appears to have a mind of its own.

I don't think that they have ill intent. When the catalina doesn't print, they come up with a theory that you can't mix and match. Later, another customer comes in, mixing and matching and the cat doesn't print so in the cashier's mind the theory is confirmed. They don't notice that there were 15 other people who did the same thing and the cat printed because they didn't pay much attention to those transactions because there were no problems.
