Dh and I are following Dave Ramsey's baby steps.
Although we are trying so hard to get a head.
We wish we were doing better, and getting further ahead,
faster then we are.

We have made some huge strides with cutting our budget.
But we are going to try and be really gazelle for the month of
July. But dh has given me a challenge for the month of Aug.
To be SUPER Gazelle, an not do any grocery shopping for the month
of Aug.
I am allowed to buy Milk, eggs, and bread, and pet items (food and litter)
An I am allowed to buy produce once a week at the flea market from the local farms.

But I thought I would take it one step higher.
An not spend any money out of our budget for ANYTHING!
Including Milk, bread and eggs, produce and pet items!

I know I sound crazy, and I am a bit scared that I will make it through the month. But I sure do plan on giving it all I got at least.

We normally budget $35 a week for all food, household and pet items.
I am hoping to put up some auctions and do some trades for cc, gift cards, and free items to help pay for the items I am limited to buying that month.

Going to start trading now, so it won't be such a shock to my system
at the start of Aug. :giggle2:
To start off, I have my first item up for trade!

Way to go - I can't wait to see how you do this - very inspiring. We are living off our stock pile right now due to financial issues - not fun, but do-able.

Wow! I am going to be watching this thread to see how you do. I made a budget of $200 for June and was able to stay under it (including food, hba, diapers for 2, dog food for 1, cleaners, etc) but $0 seems impossible. I would love to see you do it, and I will be watching for ideas. Good luck!!

You are inspiring me and I think I may do something for the month of August if I can get all my back-to-school shopping done before then. I'm gonna keep up with you, so good luck.

Thanks!
Hoping this works out.
It will help us use up some of our stockpile
before we move in September as well.

:hi2:

Wishing you luck in your no spending $ goal!

I noticed you said you need pasta. If you have a Meijer store close by, next week they have pasta on sale and with the mealbox coupons it is FREE.

Thanks!
But no Meijer here.
I did find a sale on Barilla Pasta though.
An will be .50 a box after my coupons.
That is the best deal I have found on Barilla in awhile.
So going to stock up some of them.

Found a good deal on Chicken this week
An got an ad early for next week and there is a good price on
beef and pork. So going to be stocking up on meat.
Then all I have to worry about is everything else. LoL

Going to try and see if I can barter some stockpile
items at the flea market with the produce guy and
also a friend that has a large garden.
I am excited about this!

Yay! had my first auction end tonight.
Made $7 in Paypal

I am super excited though.
Because a new Rite Aid near by was haveing a grand opening
this week. They had our brand of cat litter on sale
14lbs for $2.99 - $1 coupon = $1.99 14lbs each! Yay!
It was for the good Tidy Cat Scoopable kind!
We bought 10, would have bought more, but that is all the coupons I had.
Should last us 5-7 months.
