Wow. So, I am a Board member for a youth sports organization. I have sufficiently stocked my family on anything that has been stockable for the last several months. The sales cycles are coming thru again and I truly can’t continue to stock some of this stuff for fear of expiration. I have donated to a family in need once. I was thinking that if I could get my hands on lots of inserts, I could make a difference in my community. I am already doing it for my family, I am already in tune with the sales and how to get stuff free or very inexpensively…so I reached out to the families of the org I am involved with asking them to donate their inserts and I will in turn use them to get food, household and health/beauty/toiletry, and pet items to donate to various shelters or to families that we are made aware of that have a need.
Little did I know but one of our mom’s is a free lance writer for the local paper. She talked to her editor about this and they think it would be a great feature story!
OMG. This is SOOOO COOOOOOLLLLL! The exposure will definitely lead to more insert donations – maybe even some financial help to really allow me to stock up for donations!
I am scared, nervous and very excited!
