:wavehi: I'm just wondering if we can make the HCW Festival Foods forum a fun place to be.

So let's start out with a Roll Call just to shout hey to our other Festival Foods shoppers, and talk about whatever else you'd like to share with the others, such as

Which store do you shop at?
What's your favorite thing about shopping at Festival Foods
What's your least favorite thing?
etc.

Which store do you shop at? Festival Green Bay East
What's your favorite thing about shopping at Festival Foods I love the cheap coupons from the Sunday Paper. Their meat dept is the best in town, and so is their liquor. The store personnel are always very nice and friendly, and there is NEVER a shortage of open checkout lanes.
What's your least favorite thing? They don't double coupons!

I only have a few Grocery stores in my area to choose from Festival is the best for finding items to stock pile. I also like their meats. What I don't like is they sometimes put limits on sale items. I like that I can check their online ad at 12 a.m. on Sunday morning so that I know what they have on sale when DH goes out for paper on Sunday morning!:BigHand:

What store do you shop at? Appleton

What is your favorite thing? I love the deli but I spend too much. They also have a great meat dept. I love the fact that you can print the coupons right off the website.

What is the least favorite thing? I find their regular prices to be a little higher than other places. Also their limits on sale items. I live close by though, so if there is a really good deal, I can go back several times in a week. :hectic1:

So the Onalaska location will take instant print coupons? The Festival Foods in Mauston refuses to take them :frown:

How can they not take IPs when they let you print them on their site? I would ask to talk to the store manager. They have never had a problem here. Ask them if they really want to have you come back...boomerang theory and all.

I emailed in a complaint because they advertise online printing on the back of their receipts! Made me mad when I saw that after they said I couldn't use a printed coupon. Anyway their response was the following:
I am sorry for the inconvenience. We were not aware that there was an online
coupon advertisement on the back of the receipt tape. The company that we
get our tapes from sell the advertisement spots to companies they choose, we
have no connection to it. I will call the company and inform them of the
complaint. I am sorry we can not accept internet coupons, the theft and
counterfeit coupon problem is too great. Thank You for shopping with us and
we appreciate you informing us of this issue.

Hi - No I haven't seen a coupon machine. Where is the one located in the Onalaska store??? I do shop in Onalaska/LaX about once a month or so. So the Onalaska store will take printed coupons even from off their website? :shrug7:Thanks

I usually shop at the La Crosse Festival, but haven't been there in the last few months. I was away this past week and my kids and my mom went there. When I got back my kids are showing me these coupons. I asked them where they got them, they said the coupon machine at Festival. They thought it was so funny that they had found this before me... Now I have to go and check it out. They used some of them also, so I am teaching them well.:wink7:

I have a festival food. Its not my favorite place but it is where I shop the most. I live in a small area of Wisconsin. They have a decent meat counter but I don't get that great of deals from it. I was hoping that this place could help.

I usually shop at the Festival Foods in New London, WI, but have also used the Appleton one.
I like that I can buy some organic and natural foods at Festival that are not available in other stores.
What I don't like is that not all stores seem to carry the deals advertised in the flyers. In fact New London rarely does! (I guess that's why most of my shopping goes to Wal-mart)

I don't have alot of grocery store options either I do most at Walmart but if you watch you can get some pretty good deals at Festival by using their store coupons and mfg coupons together. In fact I an going shopping there this week because they have some pretty good deals...... Bananas .28 per lb with store coupon, Pepsi products 5/11.00, Kellogg's cereal 3/5.00, Kellogg's poptarts 3/4.00. Not bad deals if you still have your Kellogg's coupons and have not done your rebate yet.

I usually shop La Crosse because it is closer, but will go to Onalaska store when heading out toward the mall area or if there is items I want to stock up on.

Very strange. We have a FF in jacksonville, Illinois, but it's not an option to choose at www.festfoods.com (http://www.festfoods.com).

Strange.

The prices at FF in jacksonville are MUCH higher than the only other grocery store we have, which is walmart.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this to help us out because it seems to be very confusing, since there's 3 different Festival Foods websites.

Festival Foods (http://www.festivalfoods.com/home_flash.asp) This website lists all the stores in wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Pennsylvania with links to each individual store and looks like they are all owned by Supervalu.

http://www.festfoods.com (http://www.festfoods.com/)lists only the stores in Wisconsin.

http://www.festivalfoods.net (http://www.festivalfoods.net/)/ lists only the stores in St. Paul and Minneapolis and according to the website are owned by Knowlan’s Super Markets, Inc but then again they are listed in the Minnesota part of the first website I mentioned.

Do all the stores follow the same ad and run their sales the same day or do they differ by location?

I shop at the GB store and Oshkosh.
Things I like: They do have a much larger section of organic/allergy free products then any other store I have been too. I mean they have dairy free doughnuts!!! $$$ but the best thing in the world. I only go there if there is a sale or something else. But Copps is getting pricey themselves, so I'll shop both now. I have asked Copps repeatedly to bring in products, and so far nothing, so I am hoping I have better luck with Festival.
Things I don't like: Prices, and the other day I went to one and they floor was really slippery and I like almost fell 3 times just walking out! (I was in my Sunday clothes) but it was my fault, and I laugh about it now! And it's father from my house then Copp

I am really happy with the produce too

Wow, I never posted in this thread!? :shrug7:

Which store do you shop at? Oshkosh

What's your favorite thing about shopping at Festival Foods? Fairly good prices on some items with Qs from their print/online ad and green sheets in-store.

What's your least favorite thing? That you have to give the cashier the store Qs to get the sale price on some of the items and buy $5 worth of other items in order to use the Qs from the print/online ad. At least they now have copies of the store Qs available at the service desk so I don't have to print them at home anymore. :wink7:

I shop at Eau Claire Festival foods sometimes, when there are really good deals. Otherwise it's always really crowded with rude people, I have no idea why. Their prices are higher than the other Eau Claire stores, Gordy's and Mega. Anyone else from this neck of the woods???

Welcome to HCW and the Festival Foods forum!

Like you mentioned, I too have noticed that the everyday prices at my store are higher than some of the other stores in the area, but their loss leaders/sale items (particularly those that you need to use the coupons from the print ad for) are cheaper than sale prices elsewhere. The main items I can get a good deal on are milk (usually anywhere from $0.98-$1.98/gallon every few weeks) and eggs (usually about $0.68/dozen every few weeks). I also like to buy lettuce there because they sell it by the head rather than by weight so I can get more for my money. Their produce seems to be fresher than the main Pick 'n Save store I shop at, too.
