My dad came into town last Friday and when they were showing the segment is when he showed up. I told him the news had just shown a story on couponing and "my coupon site" (as I call it LOL) and said "my coupon buddy Erin was showing how you can use coupons to save". So all weekend he kept asking me, "Ok so how does this work?" So on Sunday I took him to the store with me so he could understand. It was actually funny because my dad is just not a couponing person really. On the 12 & 24-pack of Coke products there is a code laser printed on the inside of the box/package and also on 20 oz, 1-liter and 2-liter bottles of Coke products there are codes on the inside of the cap. Powerade also has codes on the caps.
If you go to MyCokeRewards.com you enter the codes you get points and then you can redeem your points for different things.
Like I turned in some points to get my DH(darling/dear husband) a magazine subscription. Ive turned in my points to get coupons for free bottles and 12-pack Coke products.

I hate to be the one bummer in a whole group.. but considering its almost impossible to get the good deals (especially at CVS) if you wait till the end of the first day of the sale, I was sad to know this was done. I had people come up to me at work bringing it up and its frustrating. My friend nearly cried when she saw that HCW was even pointed out on there. Oh well. I guess Ill just have to pour even more money into my gas tank to find stores with stuff in stock.

most of the time, if I know I want a large quantity of something that is on sale, I will have the manager pre-order it for me. I never even take stuff from the shelves, just from what I order, so I am not wiping them out and leaving none for the next person.

why would your friend cry about HCW? This site is the best as far as helping others get out of debt and have money to spend on other things like retirement, vacation, braces...and not just food and HBA.

you should try pre-ordering items too so that you don't have to run around to empty shelves...many managers are more than happy to do it for you, sorry I can't help you with the price of gas, but I am sure looking for ways to do so.

Rather than waste time and money driving all over town, why don't you talk to the manager at your local CVS. I know 3 stores managers at 3 different stores and they are more than happy to help set aside stuff for me for the monthly deals and sometimes weekly if I ask. Of course I help them as well by telling everyone I know how friendly the store is and helpful. Also, since HCW posts the monthly so far in advance, I look for the freebies and get UPC's for the store managers so they can order plenty of stock to cover customers wants and needs.
According to one manager, they need the upc to get the item number in the computer to place bulk orders. It has been a give and take and has worked well for me when I have used it.

Hi there!! Saw the story on channel 13 and was impressed. I've loved using coupons for years. It's almost like a game to see how much you can get for free or close to it!!

I've never really used coupons from the internet until just recently. So for none of the ones I print will actually scan on the register at the stores. The cashier has to enter them by hand. This morning, none of my internet coupons would scan at Randall's. When the cashier called for help, the person from the booth told me that Randall's doesn't take internet coupons because they can't get the reimbursment. Apparently this is something new for them. Have you run into similar problems since you get most of your coupons from the internet?
