Edited 5/27 to add: Here's an even better response. Very detailed. I used the old questions from a year ago.

This email did not answer all the questions I asked but, it's better than nothing.
Dear Valued Customer,
I would like to provide you with an answer to your question regarding the number of Extra Bucks that may be used per purchase.
First, an open ended coupon is one that is not earned such as, $2 off $10 purchase, $3 off $15 purchase, $4 off $20 purchase, $5 off $30 purchase, $10 off $50 purchase, $15 off $75 purchase, per transaction. These open ended coupons can not be used with another open ended coupon.
For example: the transaction amount is $25 and you have a $2 off $10 and a $3 off $15. You can ONLY use one of these coupons, not both.
Open ended coupons can be used with an ExtraBucks coupon (earned coupon). For example:
The transaction amount is $25 and you have a $2 off $10 and an ExtraBucks coupon for $5. You CAN use BOTH coupons on this transaction.
Additional info:
Limit of one purchase-based savings coupon, i.e., $2 off $10 purchase, $3 off $15 purchase, $4 off $20 purchase, $5 off $30 purchase, $10 off $50 purchase, $15 off $75 purchase, per transaction. The purchase threshold must be met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.
Legal copy used on Emailed coupons:
This coupon is the copyrighted property of CVS; it is intended for use by ExtraCare cardholders who subscribe to CVS’s email program and have received this message directly from CVS/pharmacy. CVS/pharmacy reserves the right to reject any coupon presented by parties outside of the original distribution list. Original coupon must be relinquished at the time of purchase. Coupon is void if copied, transferred and where prohibited by law. CVS/pharmacy will not accept offers printed from unauthorized internet postings or reproductions, copies, or facsimiles of this offer.
Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. However, the staff should be allowing customers to use Extra Bucks in combination with other CVS coupons since these are coupons you have “earned.” In addition, similarly they should be allowing the use of “offer at the register” coupons which would be an open offer of $3 off of $15 or a certain dollar amount off of a specific item. Since our registers are programmed to only accept 2 coupons (1 CVS, 1 manufacturer) per item if the number of coupons exceed the items purchased a member of management will need to assist the cashier in processing the coupons.
Stores retain the right to refuse or limit coupons at their discretion.
I regret to inform you that at this time we are no longer able to reset lost or expired coupons. In the past we have reset coupons as a courtesy however; we are no longer able to grant this request. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your understanding in this matter.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us either by e-mail or by calling (800) 746-7287. Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I hope you have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Rita H
