Has anyone else seen these? Short story, I was at my Kroger tonight because I had a few Qs I wanted to use up before the end of the month, and the woman in front of me got 6 catalinas after her order. She told the cashier that she just threw them away:scared2:After the woman walked away I asked the cashier if she left anything good. The AWESOME cashier gave me all of them! There's a couple good ones! Anyway, they're all marked "Best Customer Coupon" at the top. I've never seen these before. I wonder if you need to spend a certain amount on your order to get them. I rarely spend over $40 per shopping trip. Does anyone know? :shrug7:

I got some of these today when using an unregistered and rarely used Kroger card. The card I use weekly, and then some, has yet to produce anything but $5 off a PetMed order. :rolleyes24:

I've never heard of those cats ... might be something new they are doing.

My husband came home today with two sets of these coupons. One was for free Eggos! The others were $1-2 off items like cereal, detergent and frozen dinners. I asked how he got them and he said people left them at the self-checkout, so he took both sets. The fine print states to receive more by mail to update your info for the card, so maybe it is for unregistered cards?

I'm pretty sure it's unregistered cards, since I've gotten them from Smith's uscans, too.

Well darn! Since my card is registered I guess I'll just have to keep on the lookout for people that don't want their catalinas.

Yes when you don't register you get these.

I noticed too that they don't list Kroger on them, so does that mean they can be used at any store?

I also saw them as well in Ralphs which is the West Coast of Krogers. Now call this crazy but I found the "best customer" coupon in the trash at the self checkout and inside was a coupon for FREE icecream Private selection(Ralphs brand). And these Catalina start with the number 1 so it appears to be a store Q.

I get these quite regularly. I didn't realize my card was "unregistered". I guess I'll leave it that way.
I get one for something free about every other month. The latest, a Duncan Hines cake mix.
I also get one for $1.50 off $7.00 of dairy often - excludes fresh milk and cheese - I can't figure out what other dairy I would spend $7.00 on!!

I got a home mailer coupon like that. I suppose butter, sour cream and yogurt would count.

I'm pretty sure anything in the dairy case (besides milk and cheese) counts for the $1.50/$7 dairy q. I usually use it on eggs, yogurt, or refrigerated juices.

Also wanted to add that since registering my card, I've ended up with several mailers (like the best customer catalinas you've been getting), mailer/magazine type thingies with q's that usually work with upcoming deals, a free turkey q at Thanksgiving, and so on.

Butter, Yougurt, sour cream, O.J., cookie dough, bagels, eggs, and biscuits.

Thanks everyone, for the dairy suggestions. Eggs, OJ, biscuits, none of these occured to me as dairy. I never spend $$ on yogurt, my store always has some on clearance that I can get free with a q - since I'm not picky about brands. Got the kids free drinkables yesterday, made their day!
Now, I wonder if it is better to register my card & get q's in the mail, or just keep it unregistered. Anyone know if the q's are the same? Better in the mail?

Eggs are dairy? Doesn't make any sense. Chickens don't moo. Oh well, I'll still use it!

The coupons are for "any item in the dairy department excluding milk and cheese."
How do you know it's in the dairy department? Look at the tag it will say dairy in the upper left or it will have an "R".

These are for unregistered cards. My card is registered and about 4 times a year I receive a printed folded mailer that has about 15 coupons in it. They rang from $/$$ whole order, $/$$ off a certain department, or $ off certain items I frequently buy. But, I've picked up a lot of Best Customer coupons from the self checkout. I've scored a lot of great coupons!

I've found these coupons before too, discarded near U-Scan. If it says 'Manufacturer Coupon', it can be used elsewhere. I've done it.

I was behind a lady @ target yesterday and she used her meijer one's. They were man. coupons but had the meijer logo on them. I have used my kroger one's at cvs so why not.

I now have one of each, ds (age 22) did some shopping on his own with his own $$, shocking, I know, and couldn't remember the phone # on our card, since we still have it listed with our old # (never updated). The cashier gave him a new one, and said he didn't have to fill anything out to use it. He gave me the keychain size, so I can keep it identified from my cc size. He is afraid of identity infringement and doesn't want to give personal info to get a discount....works for me!

Hmmm, hubby carries a xeroxed copy of my plus card with him for the few stops I have him make for me. Next time I think I'll just tell him to pick up a new card at the counter and not fill anything out for it. Best of both worlds!

The Best Customer Cats do not have any specification for Kroger, simply manufacturer coupon. Cats with a store name usually state 'redeemable at' specified store and are not intended for use elsewhere. YMMV
