Did you know that if you find a great toy at a yard sale, many times you can write to the manufacturer and get new decals to replace worn out ones?

I once bought a friend's child a $100 Little Tykes kitchen for $10 at a yard sale. I called Little Tykes, and for less than $5 they sent a complete set of new decals for the kitchen. It looked brand new once I was done cleaning off the old ones and putting on the new.

I saw something along these lines in the Freecycle thread and it reminded me of this!

My SIL and I do this all the time. Some companies don't even care if you got it at a yard sale and they will replace parts for free. Chicco and Safety 1st are always great about sending us missing parts.

Good to know, I have passed on many things just because it was missing the stickers or they were really worn, but otherwise in perfect shape.

Same for me, Chicco sent me a replacement part for no cost and I have had others send me stuff for nothing or almost nothing! Saves a bunch!
