Seems faster here too. I like the look as well. It seems much "cleaner" and less cluttered looking. I don't mind the extra click. Thanks for the hard work and effort put into this site. I love HCW!! |

I do miss the list of "Who's Online" down at the bottom of the main page though. I like to see if my friends are on when I am. Other than that, I like! |

To be honest I didn't notice that it was any faster. I would put my vote in for going back like it was. It may just be a couple of clicks and some scrolling, but it is taking me much longer to find the sections that I like. |

Well we know that we can not please everyone. But we are trying to make changes to make the site easier to use and load faster. So that we can bring on new additions to make HCW even better.
We will be working on making sure all of our main forums (drug stores, grocery stores, etc etc) are worded and discribed better to facilitate newbies so that they know where to go to look for the info they need.
Yes the "who's online" box at the bottom of the homepage is gone now. But you can still find that information via the Quick Links tab in your top toolbar, click Quick Links and choose Who's Online...here you can see how many folks are online at the moment as well as see who is online.
Sometimes we have to make sacifices for the good of the board and if load time is better for most with these new changes then changes we will make.

I have to say, I like the "who's online" too - and Mark is going to see how much "space" that takes up, but the biggest draw on load time was the subforums being out there.
Like any change, it takes a bit to get going. But I will say, I like the less cluttered look and it won't be quite as overwhelming for new folks, which is the feedback we've gotten from many who are new to the board and things seems daunting.

i am just glad i don't have to click reload a bizzilion times any more :0)
i don't mind extra clicking heck gives my fingers excersise....
Now if i could only figure out how to excersise all the rest of me while clicking.... LOL
