BTW--Might I say, I don't like the youtube voting system. It's not fair or accurate.

IMHO--a poll should be made some where.

With the youtube, I've noticed, I'm not popular or up for spamming (other than my sig link). People are voting others down. I did this to have fun, maybe get a couple of votes. It just sucks to see people voting down any video (I'm not the only one noticing this). We ALL put in time and effort.

I hadn't noticed the voting down.

Can you see individual ratings (vs the average rating)? I , too, agree that I made this video for fun, to portray couponing in a positive way, and see what other HCW'ers could come up with.... It's been fun so far. But, I will certainly encourage everyone to play nicely! (Please no

We have had just one negative comment and so many positive. One person put a thumbs down next to a comment about the colon blow. Who could possibly be offended at a little old lady getting excited about a sale on colon blow???? I put a thumbs up by the comment with a thumbs down and it seemed to cancel it out.

So, If you get any thumbs down, you can erase them that way!

Greenfrog57 and The coupon song have been less than 100 views apart all week on youtube. Once the coupon song was behind by 25 views. Views seem to increase at the same rate for both of those entries. Except over the past two days Greenfrog57's increased by 75 more views than ours.

You can definitely tell who got their videos up first. It seems impossible that those of us that were later will even get close to their amount of views. I just feel bad if someone gets an awesome video up in the next few days because there's no way they can catch up to the first 2. I guess the early bird gets the worm.

I'm surprised there haven't been more videos though. It does take a lot of work, so I understand that aspect for sure.

yep- there should definitely be a poll here at HCW- once ALL the videos are in.

The poll should not be anonymous either LOL!

hey folks - remember that people other than HCWers are viewing and commenting on these. If there are neg votes, we'll include them in the overall count - the goal was to try and get as much feedback as possible, not necessarily weigh the positive or the negative.

As to time to get people voting your way - part of this is that you can campaign both on and off the site....send it to your church group, office, email list, etc to view - slap it on your blog or post it on another site you might belong to. You've got almost a full 3 weeks to get the vote out - it's an election year after all!!! Someone with lots of friends could submit a video tomorrow and still sweep this thing!

I didn't realize they were still accepting videos. I thought it closed last week. We actually had another idea we were going to do, but didn't because I thought it was over. I guess 2 videos are enough.

(The kids all keep coming up with new ideas, we might have to make some "sequels" just for fun.)

I did notice the voting down too. I told all my friends to vote for us, but also for the ones they like. I think all the videos are great and should be enjoyed. I get that the idea is to get more people to HCW though, so I'm spreading the word to people I know who are always saying "wow-can you teach me how to do that?". They never actually seem to want to do the work, but the videos might get them more interested.
