Help Hotcouponworld build our Coupon Database and make it even better!

Three prizes will be awarded to the 3 members that add the most coupons to the coupon database.

1st: $20 Amazon Gift Code

Contest runs from 7/1/08 through 7/31/08 and winner will be announced the first week on August

Rules for entering coupons:

• Please do a search on each coupon before entering it into the coupon database to ensure that the coupon is not already in the database.
• Do not enter expired coupons.
• Check your spelling to make sure the coupon information is spelled correctly.
• Make sure you enter the expiration date (If the coupon has no expiration date please enter NED in the expiration date field OR if the coupon is a printable enter Rolling to indicate that the expiration date rolls depending on when it is printed)
• If you are unsure of how to enter please feel free to contact me and ask and I will be happy to help.
• If the coupon is valid only at a certain store then please use the NEW store drop down feature of the coupon database. If the store is not listed in the drop down see if it will fit the Other Grocery Store, Other National Store, etc or indicate the store in the comments field.
• Please DO NOT enter insert coupons until the majority of insert coupons have been uploaded by myself (Usually by Monday) to check please do a search on the comments field by insert date to see if the newest inserts have been uploaded.
• You can enter coupons that you have found in stores, printable coupons that you have found on manufactures websites, or even coupons you see others have posted about on our forums. Don't forget that you can enter Catalina/register rewards coupons as well (and these can help our mods keep track of when a cat is running when doing a sale/match up!)

Lastly remember that it can take up to 24 hours for a member of our staff to verify the entries before they go live in the coupon database. And if there is a mistake or a question we will send you a PM asking for clarification.

How do we get credit for entering them in? We don't enter our name or id anywhere, when entering in the coupons. So, how do you know who enters in what and how many?

1 - When we have a mfg coupon that has a store logo, with disclaimer "Only Good At".... where do we enter that? Do we use this logic?

2 - When we have a mfg coupon that has a store logo, THAT DOES NOT have a disclaimer "Only Good At".... where do we enter that? Do we use this logic?

It's not visible but the software keeps track of who has entered which coupons. That feature helps us determine the winner of the contest but also lets the database team know who to ask when we have a question with an entry.

If the coupon says "Good Only At" or "Redeemable Only At" then we will consider those store coupon, so you would chosse a store from the drop down or other suggestion in my post above. Enter it as a manufacture coupon, but note in the comments field that is has a logo for what ever store.

FYI, I just updated the FAQ for adding coupons to the database. It's a small novel, but it should spell out everything you need to know if you've never added coupons before.
