QUESTION Aldi's: How far would you drive?

There are no Aldi's in Bradenton, FL, where I live, but one has opened just north of us in St. Petersburg, and I'm curious as to whether the savings would be worth the drive. It would be about an hour, round-trip. I usually use Qs at Publix for the BOGO and sale items, and I fill in any gaps with WalMart or the occasional box of cereal from WAGS or CVS. Can I do better at Aldi's? I know they do not accept Qs and that they only carry off-brands, and neither of those is a deal-breaker for me. Thanks for your help!

are there other stores near the new aldi's that you don't usually get to shop at that would make a trip worthwhile? i'm not much of an aldi's shopper except when they have produce for a good price

For me I would not drive across town for Aldi's. I just don't find many great deals there, and they do not accept Q's. I only go to the Aldi's here in Lakeland for the big Arizone Iced Teas for my husbands lunch.

I go to Aldi's once a month, and i drive 20 miles to get to all our major stores. I am a big fan of the Kirkland chicken nuggets, and I get their frozen chicken breast tenderloins there too.

I too have to drive about an hour to the nearest Aldi's. I pop in if I happen to be up there for other reasons but I quit making the drive once I learned how to coupon. I can get almost everything I need cheaper with the q's. However BF has decided that Aldi's marshmallows and stars are better than Lucky Charms(of course now that I can get them cheaper).

Hhhm I would not make the drive unless like the pp stated I was in the area. I rarely use Aldi's and it is only 10-12 minutes away. I have shopped there, but that was before I started using q. There is another local store I can get my produce cheaper at.

I might go once a month which is what I do now and it only takes me 10 minutes to get there. Personally there are a few things that I get cheaper at Aldi but most I can do better with coupons at other stores. You should go once and check it out and see if you think it is worth it for you.

Honestly I would not drive an hour to shop Aldi. You can end up with better deals shopping other stores and using your coupons. Adli does not accept coupons and you have to provide your own shopping bags. The deals are not that great.
