Can't use coupons and its 25 cents to get a cart of course when you return it you get your 25 cents back

I don't shop too terribly much at Aldi's anymore simply because they don't accept coupons...and I can beat their everyday prices on most things with coupons during a sale at another store. But for things that I don't typically get coupons for like produce and meat I do find that Aldi's has the better deals and the value of the product is just as great as at any other store. It's definetely worth looking into if you want to save on items you don't have coupons for!

Don't forget $.05-$.10 a bag if you don't bring your own. Sometimes they have boxes around as well for free use.

Things I buy at Aldis below. I find I usually can't get any lower with Q's (this may just mean I'm not so great with the couponing lol):
eggs, milk, sour cream, 'oreos', peanut butter, potato/corn chips, flour, sugar, spices, cocoa, cheerios, rice, canned beans/vegs/tomato sauce, TP, tater tots, frozen fruits, fresh produce of all kinds.

Here is information that I would have found helpful before my first visit to Aldi's:

1. Bring a quarter to use a shopping cart. (As mentioned previously, you do get it back when the cart is returned. Also, in a pinch, I have seen cashiers loan out shopping carts to those without cash, so it doesn't hurt to ask if you need one).

2. It is helpful to bring your own bags or boxes to avoid buying them at the store. They sell plastic and reusable bags at my store if you don't bring in your own. Also, you may take any of their empty boxes for free. It is usually pretty easy for me to pick up a box or two in the store and I prefer them over the bags anyway.

As far as food, I usually pick up my non-coupon staples there. I tried their canned ravioli once and it was terrible. I also found that some of their frozen skillet type meals are too salty. I over come that by only adding a little seasoning at a time. They do have a double your money back guarantee. I have not tried returning anything so I don't know how well they back that guarantee.

Forget taking boxes or bags...I take 1-2 laundry baskets and a cooler. Works alot better and easy to carry the stuff in the house. My nearest Aldis is a 35 minute drive, so all my cold stuff goes into the cooler.

We buy from Aldi's just about everything that we can't get with coupons/sale combos cheaper elsewhere.. which is most every day food. There are only a couple items that we've tried that we didn't like, but it wasn't due to poor quality, just didn't like the flavor of that brand. For instance, there are 3 different kinds of American cheese at my Aldi's, I haven't tried the most expensive one, but of the other two, there is one we really like, and one we don't. I like taking a few of those reusable cloth grocery bags.

"I tried their canned ravioli once and it was terrible. I also found that some of their frozen skillet type meals are too salty."

I didn't like these either, but then again, I have the same issues with these types of products no matter what brand they are. The canned ravioli was as good as Chef Boyardee (which is to say, great if you're starving, not so great otherwise, lol).
