I started shopping at Aldis this past year when they built a few in my area. There is one that is pretty close so I occasionally stop in there to see what they have. Sometimes the produce is good and other times it is, well, rotted. Price is great when the items look good. My husband and I love their potato chips. They are 1.29 a bag which can't be beat! The reg. and the barbecue are good and their tortiilla chips are good at .99 cents a bag. Great price on honey whole wheat bread and hamburger/hot dog buns. I recently made their boxed cinnamon cake and it was very good. I was really surprised because I normally bake from scratch and for a boxed cake it tasted quite good. I like that they change items from week to week so you never know what they have until you go check it out. Hope this helps!

I love their cottage cheese.
I read on another thread that they are BGH free in their milk so I assume it goes for the cottage cheese too.
I believe they are the same company as Trader Joes and are German owned.

I've only been shopping at Aldi for about 2 months, but I've already made it part of my weekly shopping. I typically buy eggs, milk, cheese, produce, and fresh meats. Occasionally, I get the chicken broth; DD loves the animal crackers and fruit rolls.

There are a few staples that I always get at Aldi. We like all of the chips, they just started carrying Salt and Vinegar ones which I LOVE. My boys like the barbecue and we all like the tortilla chips. I almost always buy my milk, eggs and 1/2 & 1/2 there. Their turkey bacon is awesome, I don't buy regular bacon at all any more. My kids eat the cereal and claim it tastes the same as name brand. I love the lime flavored sparkling water, the other flavors are good as well. I recently tried the waffle cones and they are wonderful. Really big and we've been eating them with all the free ice cream we've been getting these days.

We also went through a lot of the frozen caramel core ice cream cones before we started making our own. Their Light and Fit ice cream sandwiches are good too. I don't buy a lot of meat there but will occasionally buy some deli sliced ham or turkey. My best recent find was blueberries for .99 a pint. I've never seen them this cheap, I bought 2 cases of them and froze a lot but my boys for the first time ever in their young lives finally got their fill. We also get a lot of our other produce at Aldi too.

I almost bought that turkey bacon the other day. I will get it next time.

I bought I honey dew yesterday for 99 cents. It was good. Good have been a little riper but that is common for any grocery store.

While I was there the Flav-O-Rich truck was there delivering milk. So you know where the milk comes from. They just dropped the price of eggs to 39 cents/dozen!!

I don't know where they get their eggs from Nosoy

We shop at Aldi frequently and we like most of their products. Ketchup-tastes similar to hunts, syrup, Trash bags-which work as good as any name brand, spaghetti sauce, tuna (it's actually a lot less fishy than say bumblebee), frozen fish-tilapia, salmon, mahi mahi, etc, corn dogs, fish sticks, animal crackers, chips, salsa, muffin mixes, fresh produce (as previous posters have said you have to check them over carefully to make sure they aren't rotten or whatever) I usually buy peppers there every week and have not had a rotten pepper yet. We also love the turkey meatballs. We use them for hawaiian meatballs & pineapple over rice. We also love love love their fresh salsa.
We also like their ranch and bacon pasta salad, refried beans, taco seasoning, canned veggies & soups. I guess we like pretty much everything. They also have a Double Guarantee- If you have a problem with their food-you return it and get your money back and get another item.
I love Aldi ...what can I say?! :)
