Re: So what do you get at Aldi's??? Their ground beef is cheap, and very tasty. Their HOT Italian sausages are about $2.80 for 5 (which I think is cheap), and are very hot and good.
Their lunchmeats are also good.
We buy a lot of stuff:
Yoghurt (the "healthy" one)
Cheese
Milk
Bread
Juice
Ceasar salad mix
Sour cream
Potato chips
Ground beef, and sausages
Yoghurt covered raisins (MMMMM) for $1.50. So good.
Sugar, flour, oil
Fresh garlic
Some fruits and vegies
Sponges.
The occasional icecream bars
Occasionally salad stuff like lettuce, cucumbers, bell peppers
Jam/Preserves
Pasta, sauces, and parmesan cheese.
We shop there weekly and never spend more than $40
We buy the household/personal stuff elsewhere and with coupons, but we don't need to buy those every week, and they end up costing another $20, more or less, when we do get them. We get meat only when we need it, cause our freezer is pretty much stocked up, and we get that from Save-A-Lot which has good, cheap meat, and that's usually $15. |
