Aldi's ~ Other: Got DH hooked on Aldi

DH went with me to Aldi in Wilson last night. He was a truckdriver forever & is now retired. Very seldom does he go into a grocery store except maybe to pick up a couple of 2 liter Diet Mt. Dews. He was really liking the $2.49 for a gallon of milk, the $1.79 for some cereals, $.49 for some can veggies, etc. We left after spending only $68 and completely refilled my food cabinets. However, I told him no to toilet paper and coffee. FL had huge packs for $4.99 & I only like my Folgers. Love saving money

I haven't gotten into aldi's yet. I heard they have flour cheap and am planning on making a run soon.
What was the price on the 2 liter?

DH didn't get the Diet Mt Dews at Aldi-they have their own brand of soft drink & DH says he does not like. Anyway, it is definitely worth the trip just for the can foods, milk, & cereal. I only have to drive about 20 miles 1 way but often find that my time doesn't allow me to get there before they close as I work 7 days a week(2 jobs).
