Either Lowes or FoodLion one has grapes for .99 a pound this week. I picked up the spiral sliced ham someone mentioned on another board at Aldis. 1.49#, best price I have seen on these since last winter. 10# ham for $15. Also stocked up on the diced tomatoes at .45 a can. Was the dried pintos you picked up or the big can?

The new Aldis in High Point is not stocking the butterscotch chips alongside the chocolate chips, so I guess I wll have to make a trip to Greensboro for those. Or I might check out the one in Hickory since I will be up there visiting my mom this weekend.

It was a good size bag. I torn them open when I got home to go them. I was impressed much better than foodlion's. I didn't see any rocks and only about couple of other s that I pulled out. I am planning on going back and getting some more.
I am thinking serious about getting a ham next wk also.
This week money was way to tight. After car repair it really missed up our budget and his checks were lower than normal .

I got a bag of their dried pintos as well as some of the canned ones (large can near the other mexican food products). Haven't used their dried ones yet, but planning on tying to cook a big pot on top of my wood stove when we get it fired up next. Their prices on tortillas, both flour and corn are fantastic. Less than half what they are anywhere else in my area.

When I am in Hickory this weekend I am going to get by the Honey Baked Ham store. My mom says the one in Hickory only charges 3.99 for a big ham bone with lots of ham left on it. The one in High Point wants $6 each. I need one to put in that pot of pintos.

I know , it gives the pintos alot of taste. I grew up that way. I remember when I was younger , we had a wood stove. My brother in boone has a fireplace , he fixed it , so he could hang a cast iron cooking pot in the front of it. He uses it to cook with and it taste so good. It is not on top of the fire but right at it.
