When our Aldi opened we were mailed a coupon plus they gave away more coupons the opening day which were good for about a week. I think they were either 5/30 or 4/20 - can't remember now. Also had free bags the opening day.
They opened one up right next door to my work.
We got a $5 off of $30 coupon but I wasn't that impressed. Their brand of ice cream sandwiches are good though!
There was a $5/30 in the mailed ad in my area.
I checked out the store this weekend. It reminded me a lot of Save-A-Lot, but much nicer. I got a gallon milk at $2.79. They had pound packages of strawberries for $2, 10 oz block cheddar cheese for $1.99. Some of the prices were pretty good.
I have next week's ad, I'll try to take the time to type up the food items on sale. It is Celebrate Oktoberfest week, aka German week.
