Default Milk discovery at Aldi's

As the mother of two teenage boys, we go through a lot of milk in our home. I happened into an Aldi's store recently and discovered their milk for $1.99 a gallon! Now it's like getting two gallons for the price of one!

Don't you just LOVE Aldi's for milk!! Our Aldi's had eggs for $1.29/doz this week. Normally, I would have grabbed them, but Kroger had them for a dollar.

BTW...I started buying the 3.5% milk, and splitting it into 2 gallon jugs. Add water, and you've got 2 gallons of (almost) 2%! And nobody has noticed the difference yet!!!

It's $2.59 here, but yeah that's better than anywhere else!!

xufan, watch out with that. You're not just diluting the fat, but also the nutrition. You'll just have to drink twice as much.

I recently saw that too! What about cheese (slices, shreds, chunks)? Anyone know their everyday prices on these? How about yogurt? Orange juice? Yes, I can go there and see for myself, but why waste the gas when I know someone out there knows this off the top of their head!

In Lawrenceville GA, Aldi's has milk for $2.29 a gallon! It's great! Whenever I'm in the area - I pick up 3-4 gallons - I always check the expiration dates and try to buy the furthest out date... not worth the drive, but I plan other errands and deals in that area to make it a worthwhile trip!

I think I may just have to go there tomorrow to see what they prices are because if they are even 2.50 a gallon it beats paying 4.00 at krogers

It's $1.99 where I am vs $4.29 at the local "name brand" store.

I buy 10 gallons at a time b/c milk freezes just fine!!

I'm in Alabama. My Aldi's is about 15 minutes from my house, but not on my beaten path. Publix is 2 miles from my house and I pass it every day. So I buy several gallons at a time from Aldi's so I don't have to go to Aldi's quite as often.

That may change as my zest for savings grows. Next time I'm going to get cheese and eggs there as well, and get to know the store better.
