I had no idea that you could freeze milk! Does it separate when you thaw it? My DH goes thru about 4 gals a week.. so when I find a milk deal.. I have to load up!
I was in Aldi's yesterday and milk was up to 2.75, not bad but Meijer's sale is 2.50 right now. Also tons of stuff jumped up. All there chips and pretzels were .99, now pretzels are 1.29. I know that isn't tons but it sucks. Regular chips went from 1.09 to 1.19. And it seems the fresh fruit keeps going up.
I'm in Alabama and it's $1.99 here too, where at WalMart right down the road from them it's $4. I have to load up when I go grocery shopping because hubby can drink almost a gallon a day by himself! Good thing he works out of town a lot :)
Milk for 1.99 - oh my!!! Here in Winchester VA, they say we are scheduled to get an Aldi in Spring of 2009 (site work is being worked on now). Now I'm antsy for it to open! Even at Walmart we pay $3.55 a gallon. (I will be first in line at Aldi when it opens that's for sure!!!)
