Aldi's ~ Question : Coming to Central Florida!

I just read an article that Aldi's will be appearing in Central Florida starting in September. Do they take coupons? I would have to travel 60 miles one way, would it be worth it? I just came in here to see what you guys were saying about this store because I just noticed that they're starting the construction of one in my little town, but when I went to the link you provided, it wasn't listed there:shrug7:

Now I'm wondering what's up. Right now it's just a big dirt patch with a sign that says "Aldi" and other mumbo jumbo I couldn't read well.

I live in Plant City and it's right on Hwy 39 (Jim Redman Pkwy). Hope we do get one.

I wouldn't travel 60 miles for Aldi's especially with gas prices right now!
No coupon's, no bags unless you bring your own or buy them there. Most of the products are their own store brand with a few name brands mixed in.

There is a new Aldi's being built on U.S. 19 in Clearwater, and also one on 66th Street in Pinellas Park. I have to agree with other posters, no coupons means I probably will not go there......

As an avid coupon user, don't close your mind to shopping at Aldi's due to coupons.

Many of the brands they carry are their own brands (thus no coupon to use anyway). They do stock some name brand stuff, but their prices on everyday items that sometimes YOU JUST NEED, (coupon or not), are so good, that it pays to do some shopping there.

Don't get me wrong, I DO NOT DO MY MAJOR GROCERY SHOPPING THERE, however, they have nice, affordable produce, excellent prepackaged cheeses and meats.

One example, the ALDI by me sells the 9 oz Fresh Express Pre Washed FRESH Spinach for $1.49 EVERYDAY! The best price at supermarkets where coupons are accepted in my area for this item is about $3 ON SALE!

They are owned by the same parent company that owns TRADER JOE's, another very well run operation.

I saw this this morning also. The ones being built are a little ways from me but if I go to Lakeland mall or something I'd probably stop in there. I haven't seen an Aldi since I moved to Florida from Illinois almost 10 years ago. I remember shopping there with my Grandma when I was younger so it holds a bit of nestalgia. :smile2:

You can find good deals at Aldis without coupons. I buy all our milk there. Now I wouldn't drive out of my way, but I have 2 stores in areas that I do most of my shopping so it takes a second to run in and grab a few items.
