QUESTION what aldi products do you get there that are cheaper than a brand name with coupon?

I know that for me there are a few things I can find @ aldi cheaper than a major brand even using a coupon.

Organic Blue Corn Tortilla chips are $1.69
I got balsamic vinegar 2 weeks ago for $1.99
Milk keeps creeping up but even at $2.19 a gallon at my store its cheaper than many.
Eggs of course .49 is HOT

Maruchaun ramen 12pks are $1.79. Im not sure how that stacks up against other stores, but my teen wanted them and for $1.79 for 12 lunches, works for me!

I got meat for the first time a few weeks ago. They had what looked to be full steaks with $2 off coupons & the pkgs were cheap to start so I grabbed them. They ended up being very thin steaks stacked up. GREAT for fajitas & I was pleasantly surprised.

What things do you all buy @ aldi that you just cannot find elsewhere for cheaper in your area? I know that may vary for all of us, but I think if we all post a few things it will help everyone else save

Baking Supplies! Flour, sugar, salt, spices, etc etc. I cook and bake from scratch all the time and go through a lot of this kind of stuff and there's never coupons for it that I've found? And their produce prices cannot be beat-this week is awesome for produce!

Im so glad you all mentioned baking supplies. There are a few things I need and have not checked there! I love to cook and I love to cook from scratch.

I like when I walk into a manager special. A month or so ago bagels were .69 a bag.

does anyone know their regular price on a pound of butter? I am down to 2 lbs and none of my local grocery stores have a sale right now.

I think their butter is $1.99/lb. I lucked out last year and walked into a special - unsalted butter sticks were .49/lb - I bought 3 dozen for me and a dozen for the little old lady up the street.

I mainly buy produce there - they always have green salad for .99 a bag and a head of lettuce is usually .99 ea.

Our eggs are up to $1.49 a dozen and milk is always $3.xx a gallon so I don't usually buy those there.

The other day they had baking powder for .69 and the exp date was 11/11 so I picked up a couple of those too. Their cream soups are usually pretty cheap - if I can't find a deal on campbell's, I'll use those for cooking

I think at my Aldi the regular price for butter is 1.49/lb.

Their extra virgin olive oil is 3.99, so that is better than most stores with coupons, at least here for me.
My eggs are more expensive than Target here, and the milk varies depending on the sales at the stores.
I do buy the canned veggies, beef/chix stock and cream soups because the price is usually better than sales/coupons at the other stores.

I buy their garbage bags as they are very good quality and $2.49 a box. I also buy their sandwich and gallon storage bags and they are $1.99 for 40 gallon bags and I think there are 100 in the sandwich bags.

Milk is $1.49 a gallon right now, at my Canton, OH store!

Definitely all produce. Apples are often 39c each. I stumbled on markdown oranges at my last visit, 25c apiece, and was shocked to look over my receipt later and find that I was charged $4.98! The manager had keyed them in as honeydew. Took 'em back and got my refund!

I love the quick markdowns. I've found bread for 10c a loaf, bananas for 10c a bag, zucchini for 10c apiece, guacamole for $1.49, etc. I always look for the markdown meat with the $ off stickers!

Spices are cheap ~ I love the grinders, such as sea salt, peppercorns, mixed blends, etc.

We buy a lot of things at Aldi, garbage bags, spagetti sauce, bagged baby spinach, bananas, just about any of their produce that looks fresh enough, canned tomatoes, grated cheese, salsa, crackers. I even like their hamburger although I believe they add dye to it. So if that freaks you out don't buy it. As far as the rest of their meat we rarely buy it there. Milk is expensive lately and I can buy it cheaper at Shop Rite.
