I would go to the website and call corp to find out!! If you do let us all know :)
I have heard rumors about at least 2 Aldi's opening in Pinellas county, Florida, within with next year or so. I just drove by the site on 66th St N. (Pinellas Park, I think, south of Park Blvd.) and the store looks very close to completion (maybe a month or so away from being done.)
Does anyone know when this store will be opening? I googled and didn't come up with anything, and I don't remember seeing the opening date in the newspaper. Aldi's website still says that there are no stores in my area. Anyone? :shrug7:We're getting excited.
Thanks in advance.
ETA: Billboard says that they open on 9/25/08!![]()

Okay, I called corporate (after a horrible search for their phone number - what company doesn't list their phone number on their website?) and was given a phone number for the Aldi Florida Divisional office in Haines City, FL. This number goes to a voice mail box, but the recording also gives a website for the florida stores. (I'm checking with a mod before posting the link. If you want it before I post it here, PM me.)
The site lists all of the stores that are in the works in the state of Florida, but it does not give any info regarding the dates that these stores will be opening.
I left a message for a call back; we'll see what response I get.
We just got one here recently and right before they opened they had a few coupons in their flyer for things like $5/30 or $10/40 so keep your eyes pealed! I love my Aldi and go there every week.
My Aldi ads come in both the mail and the newspaper. They don't come with the other grocery ads. I get them on Thursday folded into the "jobs" section of the Providence Journal. (I got that even before I subscribed to the paper so I guess it must be sponsered by the companies who advertise in it). I guess the answer is it comes in the paper but I don't know if that would be the case everywhere.
I still get the Aldi ad every week but the coupons were only there the first few weeks to get customers to come check it out. I still think it is worth it to go there because the prices are about half what I would pay at the regular grocery store (when not on sale and no coupon). They are pretty competitive with combining a sales price with a coupon at the grocery store but not quite as good.
Okay, the district office called me back last night. There is no firm date for the Grand Opening, but they expect it to be sometime in September.![]()
Okay, I just saw a billboard in front of the Aldi on 66th St N in Pinellas Park, and it said that they are opening on September 25th. HOORAY!!!

I have one near me in Winter Park, maybe they open at the same time.
