Default An Aldi tip

I keep a jumbo Kleenex box in the car (the pop-up kind, not the reach in) filled with plastic grocery sacks for when I need to clear the car of trash. I just realized this is so convenient when shopping at Aldi!

The box holds at least 20 scrunched up bags and it fits nicely in the grocery cart when shopping. I love keeping them neat until I need them AND reusing the bags. Thought I'd share.

I like that idea...

Couple others that would be useful are using them for muddy spikes from baseball or soccer and even that spur of the moment walk or dog park visit with the dog.

I like your idea! I keep a couple of brown paper grocery bags in my trunk, because sometimes the trip to Aldi isn't planned. We're passing one, and decide to stop and pick up produce. I can fit several bags of carrots, and some trays of peppers, mushrooms and zucchini in one bag. I like the tissue box idea, though!

So does Aldi not provide bags for you then? They are building one close to me and I've never been to one. Being from Central Florida, Publix is the chain I've been raised on.

You can buy bags at Aldi, but not providing free plastic bags is one of the way they keep costs down.

They have bags there, but you have to pay for them. I think the brown bags are .05 each, and there's a larger, plastic one (kinda like a tote bag) that I'm sure costs more, but I don't know the price. You can also pick up boxes from the displays, but they're harder to come by most of the time, and usually have at least one side cut off.

Default Re: An Aldi tip

unless they changed the price, the last time I went, the bigger plastic bags were .10 each...well worth the investment if you want to reuse them, they last a really long time and are extra big
