Albertsons ~ Other: Albertsons Inc. vs. Albertsons LLC

I see so much confusion about this at forums and blogs, I want to explain the difference.

There are two completely separate grocery chains called "Albertsons".

There used to be ONE chain supermarket called Albertsons.

Some years back, part of the chain was sold. Now it is 2 separate chains: Albertsons Inc, and Albertsons LLC.

By some funny agreement that was part of the deal, both chains still use the same logo, but they are 2 separate companies. They are no more the same company than Kmart and Walmart are the same company.

Albertsons LLC is in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Florida.

Albertsons Inc is in Washington state, Arizona, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, California, and Utah.
