Per the fine print in the Official Rules of the game:
Associates, officers and directors of the Sponsor
(New Albertsons Inc. SoCal Division), its parent company (SUPERVALU INC.),
retail stores, distribution centers and division offices, its subsidiaries and
affiliates, Game suppliers, affiliated advertising agencies, third party contractors,
and spouses and family members residing in the same household as any of

household including dependents in the military or attending college living away
from home) are not eligible to play and/or redeem any prize or coupon issued in

So in answer to your question, yes the employees are receiving red game tickets to whereas regular exempt customers are receiving green tickets.
As for employees odds of winning? They are the same as yours and mine and the most I have heard any employee win in either of my two closest stores is a FREE candy bar, FREE homelife wrap, $2/2 coupons and a ticket for 2 more FREE tickets.
Difference-wise, the regular green game boards have higher payouts for their prizes to whereas the red Associate game boards have much lower payouts and even lesser prizes available. That said, the colored game board pieces are not interchangeable and cannot be used on the incorrect game board or it will be deemed invalid.
